The Happy PharmDReviews of thehappypharmd.com

The Happy PharmD helped give structure to the career transition from retail to remote. It gave steps to follow to improve resume, Social presence such as LinkedIn, and interviewing. It also helped navigate the different kinds of pharmacy roles and which might be a better fit for me going forward.

I was expecting it to be excellent, and my coach, Susan, was top-notch. Great initial session - I’m looking forward to continuing to work with her. I’m interested in pivoting from retail pharmacy to medical writing, but had no clear path other than “spray and pray” with applications, which in this job market doesn’t yield many if any results. During our session, Susan gave me highly useful and greatly appreciated advice as to how to network and leverage LinkedIn to get my “brand” out there, where to start a writing portfolio, and how to use the AI client to discover what writer positions are available to me. Above all, she’s helping break the “all you are is a pharmacist” stumbling block that our educations and our employers tend to build up in us. With the help of my coach and the program, I already feel much more confident.

I had a great experience with this coaching program and would highly recommend it to anyone navigating a job search. The program helped me gain clarity on what I was looking for in my next role and provided practical, actionable guidance throughout the process. From updating and improving my LinkedIn profile and learning how to build connections on LinkedIn to reviewing my resume and preparing for interviews, every aspect was valuable. Most importantly, the coaching helped me feel more confident and prepared as I approached my job search. I’m grateful for the support, guidance, and tools I gained from this experience!

The Happy PharmD was here for me during a difficult transition from a full time remote position. I took up a part time director role with flexible hours and have maintained 2 side income streams in training technology and supporting clinical trials teams per diem. I earned the investment in the Career Accelerator program back within the first few months, not only with the new role but from nontraditional side income. Working with the coaching team helped me to understand why I had been so unhappy, what I’m looking for in a role, and how to upskill for continued success

I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with a coach who helped me gain clarity on the type of position where I can truly thrive. The guidance I received pointed me in the right direction and gave me the confidence to pursue a more fulfilling career path.

You all have been nothing less than encouraging and understanding during my time with you.

This is a very well thought out coaching program to help pharmacists transition in their careers (with a focus on non-traditional roles). The combined expertise of Alex Barker, the founder, the support team, the coaches, and the resume review expert are very beneficial. There is no shortage of access to the team, questions get answered quickly, and the number of tools to help the process is invaluable. These include classes, CE, one on one coaching and team sessions, an open forum for communicating, tools to complement your studies, live role play opportunities, a job board, and networking. Everyone is approachable, knowledgeable, and invested in your success. I highly recommend The Happy Pharm D coaching program.

Came into this program after losing my job. Having been a pharmacist for over 16 years with residency training and extensive experience, did not want to hop into and possibly get stuck in the retail hole. Career coaches and various modules helped get my resume and interview skills regeared to get staged to try and obtain one of those "unicorn" roles while also getting me positioned to maybe get a bridge role. During this process, Alex (founder and CEO) reached out and offered 1:1 support given my situation of needing to get employment ASAP. He took out his own time to meet with me on a weekly basis and provide additional coaching along with everything else the program provides. This additional help got me moving in the right direction and, within 2 months, helped me get into a decent bridge role (not the remote "unicorn" position but in my case, employment was the primary goal). Grateful for the HPD team and their efforts and they have my highest praise and recommendation to pharmacists looking for a career transition or find themselves in my position.
