The site creates fake articles by pretending to be "gamers" when all they do is post incomprehensible slop usually using AI. Don't take anything this website says to be accurate or true.

Ads cover almost the entire page. You might get ten words of reading before having to carefully scroll. This is intentional to try and get you to purchase the "ad free" site. Im all for having advertisement but when you cant read the articles it gets rediculous. Terrible.

Bunch of lefties (or possibly wannabe lefties?) who don't actually know or care to know about the video games and gaming services they review. Most of their articles are just opinions and not factual evidence, used solely to push whatever political or ethical agenda/s they have. Large number of their articles are just click bait in a poor attempt to maintain interest in their woeful social issues, which they seem to think is what video games are all about. A lot of good gaming related sites out there that actually talk about video games & gaming related topics and don't have their writers attempting to force their own views on you, but TheGamer is definitely not one of them.

The worst gaming site out there for clickbait and activism. Honestly some of their articles make the onion headlines look normal. I have no idea who unironically still goes to this site but I do seriously pity them since they must live very unhappy lives. Do yourself a favour and block them from your news feeds so your algorhythm will give you better news sources.

They constantly push bs click bait titles. The last one was something like "xbox essentially cancels handheld" then the article reads "xbox cancels its in-house handheld because it's working with someone else to create the ROG xbox ally." Like thanks for wasting my time. Nothing but no-skill writers who've given up on their careers. Give me a job and I guarantee I'm better at it than them.

Two obvious scams within a minute. I got a McAfee scam and a Walmart sweepstakes scam with barely 30 seconds between them.

They create ragebait AI-generated articles so you'll feel compelled to register just to comment and then it's actually impossible to delete your account. Like literally impossible. Their 'links'on their contact page don't even work, like they're not even links, just words that are formatted to look like you can click them. Luckily, I used a burner email and even then I regret.
