Very Disappointed, Poor Quality
I used to love Cat's Pajamas, but the quality has really gone downhill. They are still expensive, but are no longer worth the price. The fabric looks and feels cheap.

The Cat's Pajamas designs fun, sophisticated pajamas. Once you try them, you'll never want to sleep in anything else.

Disappointing. Cotton wrinkles so badly and they shrink. Beautiful Prints and rich colors but…Sizing way off and rise too short, even in “smaller” sizes. Who designed these ill-fitting pj’s? Top is ok. Boxy but I appreciate the style. Bottoms are so big and LONG. Hemming required. Hips, legs of a x-small & small just too big. Purchased on sale but will not purchase again even on sale. Customer Service is excellent.

I bought this at a local retailer. Very soft material, but the button holes were WAY too big and the buttons kept falling out. Who wants to wander around the house with your coffee and all of a sudden your parts are on full display? I tried sewing them shut myself. But save yourself the stress and do NOT buy any pima cotton knit with buttons, or test them out before purchasing. You'll see.

I received these as a gift from my mom. Packaging was worth more than the fabric the PJ's where made from. I received the peacock print which is beautiful to look at but that is it. The fabric is the worst quality with zero stretch or give. When the fabric is worn it feels and sounds like paper crinkling. A wash and dry did not help. For the amount of money spent I was appalled. You could find better quality fabric at Target. My poor mother was robbed. Do not buy this product.

Unfortunately, I don't understand your above statement: "an inadequate experience with a lot of friction." That's very odd and who would know exactly what you mean!? In any event, I gave a two-star rating because of the product quality; the website experience was fine. However, I find your pajamas to be quite unattractive, shapeless, look like the old Chinese Mao Suits, and use stiff fabric that is actually uncomfortable and drapes quite poorly. I have since found another brand that is fashionable, attractive, and uses the softest, but heavy cotton fabric that drapes extremely well. I enjoy wearing them. The reason I did not send back the three pair, I think it was, is because I needed them for gifts. I kept the third pair for me because I was in dire need but they are now just my backup, emergency pair. It's unfortunate, but I think you should know...

Jeanne, I am so glad that 4 pairs that you bought did not go to waste! Finding the right PJ is a very personal thing and I am so glad you found a brand that works for you!

I ordered a pair of long-sleeved flannel pajamas in XL (16), the size I regularly wear in both pants and dresses from various manufacturers, and these are not tight fits. The measurements given on the web site cover product length but not width, except for the waist size, given as 35", and there are no equivalent measurements for average women's clothing sizes. I tried the set on straight out of the package and they were very large, consistent with the roomy cut claimed by the manufacturer. After following the washing and drying instructions to the letter I find that the pants legs are snug in the thigh while the waist has remained enormous; only by wearing the bottoms practically as low-risers and spending some time to cinch the waist tie tight can I get the waist to lie flat along my lower back. The web site says that the waists are elastic with a drawstring tie; the waist on mine appears to have just a short band of elastic at the back, while the rest appears to be a fabric tunnel to pull the drawstring through, which is difficult. The top has shrunk to the point that it now barely fits around my hips. (Funnily enough, the sleeve, shirt, and leg lengths are perfect.) Not at all comfortable, and if they shrink further in the next washing I'll be looking at a pair pf PJs good for just one wearing of a few days' duration. Although I've committed to buying more expensive made-in-USA products, this is too rich for my blood. To say that I'm greatly disappointed and somewhat angry would be a gross understatement.

I was very excited to receive the pajamas. This is about my 10th pair and I always buy the capris. However, I was extremely disappointed when I opened the package and saw that the bottoms had pockets sewn into the side seams. I hate that. These are pajamas, I'm not going to need pockets in bed. I was also disappointed to see that the waistband tie is now made from ribbon instead of being sewn from the same material as the pajamas. Now I am going to have to sew the pockets shut and cut them off and these will definitely NOT be my favorites as I had hoped for. I am not sure if I would order anymore Cats Pajamas because of these two changes.
