Paid for credits, but was told to pay again to use them
Honestly, this has been one of the worst experiences I've had with a SaaS company. A few months ago, I paid $59 for their plan and used it to scrape Apollo leads. I still had around 15 credits left, which meant I should have been able to scrape thousands of more leads. Then one day I tried to use those credits and suddenly the website wouldn't let me scrape anything. Instead, it told me to buy a new plan. Seriously? I already paid for those credits. I first tried contacting one of their employees, only to find out that he had left the company. After a lot of effort, I finally managed to get in touch with Anand. I explained the whole situation to him and told him that I had already paid and still had credits remaining. His response was basically: “We changed the UI and policy. If you want to scrape, buy another plan.” I told him that their own employee had told me those credits were valid and asked why existing customers weren't informed before changing the system. His response was basically that he didn't care what the previous employee told me because he had left the company. What kind of way is that to talk to a paying customer? I wasn't asking for free credits. I wasn't asking for anything extra. I was simply asking to use something I had already paid for. And instead of trying to resolve the issue, the attitude was basically “buy another plan or don't use it.” The conversation got extremely unpleasant and disrespectful. I genuinely couldn't believe this was how someone running a company would speak to a customer who had already paid them. If you're going to change your policies, change your UI, or stop honoring previously purchased credits, at least have the decency to inform the customers who paid you. Don't just lock their credits and then tell them to pay again. I seriously regret spending money on this service. Think twice before buying any plan from them. You might end up paying for credits that you can't even use.
