Great final product, but disappointing delays and upselling
I was very clear from the outset that I had a strict deadline for my book to be completed in time for a major event. The Authors Point initially stated the process would take 6–8 weeks, but the timeline stretched far beyond that, which meant I missed my chance to order author copies and set up essential promotional materials in time for the expo. That was a major disappointment. While I did love the final book cover they created based on my concept, and the Basecamp chat tool made communication easy, I was frustrated by repeated upselling efforts — including extra charges for things I had already declined, like additional images for my book. If timing hadn’t been so crucial, I likely wouldn’t have felt so let down. But given how much was riding on this, and the assurances I was given at the start, I expected better.
