Spent years cold-emailing music libraries trying to get my catalog in front of supervisors. Most of the time I'd get a "thanks, we'll keep it on file" and that was the end of it lol
Met Mark years ago, signed up for TP, linked my Spotify, picked the tracks I wanted to push, done. A few weeks later I started seeing ACTUAL placements roll in. my project giiø is now in a stupid number of library catalogs I'd never have cracked going direct.

That Pitch was a lifesaver for me when…
That Pitch was a lifesaver for me when breaking into sync! After years of trying to chip away at the industry and make my own connections online, That Pitch was my first path to making actual money. What I thought was going to be some nice extra cash for placing music with online content creators turned into actual recurring income from BMI. My little side hustle of making instrumental music has ended up making me over $100,000 after a few years and I am still seeing steady royalties on tracks that I placed 5+ years ago! I have over 1000 hits on Tunesat! (Discovery & The Travel channel LOVE me :-D ) As a full time music creator, this has been invaluable.
THE CAVEATS:
1. It's a LONG game- money starts coming in later than you expect, but from my experience, once it does- it keeps coming.
2. Not everyone makes good- or more accurately- useful music. TP is just a vehicle like any other. Sometimes people just don't make quality stuff and blame it on "the system". I see this in every aspect of the music business.
3. Subscriptions. It is what it is. Nothing is free but I have honestly paid more for plugin packages that I never ended up using. I see it as a shortcut to building relationships. It would take years to get these kinds of connections, an honestly if you have them you wouldn't need any service like this anyway.
All that being said- I highly recommend That Pitch as a path for people who make quality music to get their tracks working for them- in the hands of the people who can use it.
Response from That PitchMay 10, 2026
dude. I don't even know what to say other than this is exactly what I dreamed That Pitch could be for people when I built it. This literally made my day.
And totally fair on caveats btw, they're things that annoy me too! haha-
1. publishing is what it is, haha. PRO's are just pretty slow to collect all of the royalties globally and report back to your home country unfortunately. But when they catch up - they do! And it keeps compounding!
We are thinking of some stuff we can do to speed things up, maybe will roll out some stuff later this year :)
2. yeah I mean That Pitch just delivers music and has trust within the library world (we've worked nearly 10 years to get to this point). So we can get music in, cleared, and trusted by the companies pitching it to customers.
That being said, we just get the music 'on the shelf'. It's still up to their customers to buy it. No different than getting your music into Spotify. You still need fans to get paid! Haha. But unlike getting music into Spotify (where it's really easy to get in...) Libraries are... unbelievably picky and all have robust A&R teams that pick each individual song and we pitch tracks to each of them. They all typically demand their own deal structures (usually exclusivity, unlimited revisions etc) And we only allow non-exclusive, a deal structure that makes sense for artists, and no revisions allowed. But in return, they get access to an unbelievably great catalog by independent artists all around the world, legally cleared, and we take on a lot of costs for them.
So getting tracks in to these places alone is honestly, a massive deal in itself. And you get better rates, way more chill treatment, and it happens a decade way faster than if you go at it alone.
3. yeah, while we have a really generous free tier, there's a huge disparity of costs we have to pay (on our side) to ensure music is compliant & cleared legally for every different library across the globe. It gets pretty expensive really quick (once there's lots of varying libraries around the world with different specs legally), and since we offer unlimited uploads, I have to be mindful of our costs to ensure our team can be paid well, and we can help all our artists as much as they need.
As a note, I don't have investors (and don't want them - we too are 100% independent :). )
It's a balance I have to think about from costs and what would be best for the music community (my community!) and what libraries need to make sure they are taken care of as well! Every day is a balance I am constantly thinking about, and am proud of how we've done it thus far. But I get it! If I could offer this for free to everyone unlimited, I genuinely would haha. It's extremely rewarding running this thing. :)
Thanks for being in the crew man. And again, this review made my day!

Game-Changing Sync Accessibility
So, the band has actually been placed in shows before. We have music in MTV’s The Real World Franchise! Very cool, but also that’s our only placement. I wish I could say that Mark and his team have galvanized the sync corner of this band’s business strategy, but my story is actually a little more humble than that. Our music has been sitting online through various music distribution companies since 2012, and it’s been a pleasure to have that music out there for fans to listen to and enjoy; but we weren’t really putting it to work the way we needed to go full-time. Not out of laziness or lack of passion, but more of a lack of direction and larger vision.
Sure enough, as things go, one of us went back to school, one of us had a kid and moved, I myself am in college again to finally get a degree. Here I am, some years later, and our discography is just *sitting there*. I looked at That Pitch and decided, why not, it couldn’t *hurt* to put our stuff out there.
I revived the comms between members, got the tracks approved and imported using their Auto feature (incredibly useful, builds out the metadata and pulls tracks in at the click of a button), and went on with life.
One placement within an hour or so. Six placements by the morning. It’s been about a week and we have 12 placements across “17 tracks” (10, I still need to get 7 uploaded). I’m incredibly optimistic about the future of our sync licensing, and in the meantime this has been a galvanizing force in my life. I picked my guitar back up, I’ve tuned my drum heads, I’m thinking about my songwriting in a way that I haven’t in years. The band isn’t on hiatus anymore; we’re actively discussing collaboration again and pulling out the toolkit.
To be frank, I owe that all to Mark being the momentum in our musical lives, and I owe a debt of gratitude to the team that is making That Pitch work for us. Absolutely wild turn of events, and I’m excited for the future in a way that I just wasn’t before. Big ups to the platform, I cannot be more emphatic about this. Keep up the amazing work.

Okay I don't usually get emotional reading reviews but this one got me a little bit ngl. hahaha.
the fact that That Pitch didn't just get your music placed - it got the band back together.
Can't tell you how many projects I've been in that just sorta stopped going cuz lack of momentum / life gets in the way w people.
means a lot man!! looking forward to hearing some new tunes come out :)
Also - MTV's The Real World is no small thing either! The fact that it was just sitting there doing nothing kills me, and I'm so glad you decided to throw it up and see what happened.
the the thing people don't understand about sync - your catalog doesn't expire. old music finds new life every day in this corner of the industry. It just needs to be in the right places.
Thank you for sharing all of this. Genuinely. And welcome back - to the whole band!

A breath of fresh air!
Honestly, the sync world is such a maze and it’s hard to know who or what to trust when it comes to seeking legitimate opportunities. That Pitch is a complete breath of fresh air especially In an industry where a lot of opportunities for independent artist aren't with they appear to be.
The platform is actually simple and easy to use. I haven't had a single issue with them, which is rare. If you're an artist or producer looking for legit opportunities you should definitely check them out. It’s easily one of my favorite tools right now.
Response from That PitchMay 10, 2026
"The sync world is such a maze" - honestly this is exactly why I built that pitch. The whole reason I started it is because I got screwed on a deal, and then found out not only is that kinda normal in most of the sync world - but most of the options out there for us artists / producers were just straight up predatory, or like $5k courses lol.
So hearing you say breath of fresh air genuinely means everything. Makes all the work worth it. Thank you for this and for trusting us with your music.

Honestly didn’t expect much
Honestly didn’t expect much. Signed up kind of on a whim after seeing it mentioned on Reddit ppl got syncs with it. Two weeks later tons of my tracks in libraries. I’ve been making music for 10+ years and never gotten this much momentum in sync before. Wow. Kind of wild that this is what finally did it. Took me no time at all to get my entire discog in TP (it’s kind of magic but you just click your Spotify profile), and off to the races. The team is cool. Mark seems genuine and guides you the whole way. Overall A+ so far!
Response from That PitchMay 10, 2026
10 years of making music and this is what finally gave you sync momentum. Awesome.
And the Spotify import thing - "it's kind of magic but you just click your Spotify profile" - that's literally exactly what we were going for when we built that feature. Took us half a year and lots of 'ughhhhh REALLY' during the build putting deals together so we could do that, so you can have your 'ahhhhh that was easy' moment. Haha. Love that it landed that way!
Also shoutout to Reddit lol. However you found us really glad you did.
A+ right back at you. Thx for being in the #tpcrew.

That Pitch is truly a lifesaver!!
That Pitch has made the sync pitching world feel wayyyy less overwhelming and honestly so much more accessible for artists and producers. The platform is super easy to use, organized, and saves an insane amount of time compared to trying to pitch music manually (not fun! I’ve tried it! Haha.)
Mark and the entire A&R team have also been incredibly helpful, transparent, and responsive throughout the whole process, which makes a huge difference in an industry that can usually feel confusing and hard to navigate.
Really great experience overall and definitely something I’ve already recommended to a bunch of my friends in music. In the past 3 days I’ve had 13 of my songs accepted into 16 libraries. Absolutely nuts. This has literally saved me years of time.
Tbh I find emailing and pitching pretty awkward and I’ve heard that’s the only way in sync.
Not anymore! Haha. Super easy and I feel a lot more comfortable pursuing this part of music now.
It’s honestly changed my whole perspective on sync! :)
Response from That PitchMay 10, 2026
Ahhh this made my day. And yeah - cold email / cold pitching your way into sync has held so many artists back for way too long. It's awkward and 99.9% of the time doesn't work.
ie: cold pitching = bronchitis. We don't got time for that!!
anyways really glad we could change that for you and make things easy. That's the whole point of this.
Thank you for sharing this. Hope the rest of your day is awesome.
