Go somewhere else for textures!
Yep. Here, sharpened without turning it into legally questionable rage-sludge: Title: Bad value for casual users and not unlimited even after subscribing Back in the day, Textures.com used to be genuinely useful. Now it feels like the service has been pushed hard into subscription-first pricing, and for casual users the value just is not there anymore. At the time of writing, the cheapest subscription is around 12€ per month. You might expect that to unlock the library, but it does not. It gives you a limited amount of credits, and those credits disappear quickly. A single 4K texture can cost around 20 credits, and a full PBR material set can cost around 100 credits. So if you only need one or two materials for a hobby project, you are paying a monthly subscription for what may only be a handful of actual downloads. For heavier users it does not feel much better. If the basic plan is not enough, you are pushed toward more expensive tiers, but even those are still credit-limited rather than true unlimited access. The re-download policy is also disappointing. According to their terms, content purchased through a Premium Access Subscription can only be re-downloaded for free for 2 years and only while the user has an active subscription. That means if you subscribed, downloaded assets, cancelled, and came back later to re-download something, you may be out of luck unless you subscribe again. I understand paying for quality assets, but this pricing model feels bad for small hobbyists and casual users who only need a few textures now and then. There are free and cheaper alternatives out there, and at this point I would recommend checking those first.
