I got scammed
I got scammed. I told them I wanted a one time treatment for mice and roaches, and they scheduled a date for that. Then a day or so later a unexpected salesman called to come inspect the property. He came in and took some pictures and told me we had termites and tried to get me to go on a year contract for termites. I rent the property so I don't care about the termites. I told him "no, I don't even own the place, I just want the roaches and mice gone." He acted like he understood and was going to set me up with a one time treatment. So I gave him my debit card information and he left. People came about a week later to treat the house, and without my consent they installed termite baits around my house. I didn't even notice this until one month later when my card got charged again. After calling terminix I found out he had signed me up for a year contract for termites and pests. I would never have agreed to that. I wait tables during a pandemic, so I have basically no money. I have been on the phone with them 5 times over the past week trying to get it sorted out. They keep telling me they're sending emails to the branch and regional managers etc. Nobody is getting back to me. They won't cancel my service. I also still have roaches and mice. I am extremely frustrated, as I don't know how I will pay for my other bills. Terminix is a scam. Also the salesperson's business card has a fake email, address, phone number, and name.
