TerminixReviews of terminix.com

Terminix Maine is a scam organization. DO NOT USE THEM OR RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS. I signed a $2700 exclusion contract to place a metal band around our house and garage at the level of the cedar shakes/cement foundation for 240 linear feet. When the Terminix crew chief came out to do the work, he told my wife that it "didn't need to be done." The crew left without DOING ANYTHING ON THAT CONTRACT!! Terminix won't refund my money. I have now initiated a civil suit. Also try contacting Terminix. They have a national answering service that supposedly relays message to the state office. But Terminix does not have an office in Maine. They are represented in Augusta by an intermediary firm. There are plenty of reliable pest control services in Maine. AVOID TERMINIX.

Very disappointed with their service. We had as many ants (if not more) after the service. This was the last service call on the year contract. When I asked if there was any type of guarantee with the service they performed I was told not any more because I was paying for the last service call. For a cost of over $1200 I feel we should have received a follow up service for the last visit that showed no results. Very poor customer relations.

I am referencing the office that services the New River Valley in Virginia Service from this branch has always been hit or miss, but my recent attempts to get a Wood Eating Organism inspection have been complete failures. My first attempt was with a technician who had a medical emergency and had to leave. Unfortunate, but these things happen. I was told that the inspection would be rescheduled ASAP, but I ended up having to text with the tech for days, and then call the main number again before I got rescheduled, resulting in a 2 week delay. As this inspection is for a home refinance, it is time-sensitive and delayed the loan. The second appointment resulted in a no-call, no-show. The main office for the company wasn't even able to get ahold of the tech. This was on the weekend, so while I was frustrated, I could understand that would be hard to get techs to honor. My third attempt came the following week during normal business hours. I again did not see any of the automated messages saying the tech was on the way, so I called the main office. AGAIN they were unable to get the tech on the phone and had to reschedule another week out. I am beyond frustrated and have zero confidence in this branch's ability to conduct the most basic professional functions. I was willing to put this behind me if they could get this done, but now I've been trying to get this inspection for a month. I will be looking into other pest control options in the area.

I’d give them negative 5 STARS of if I could. I made an appointment for 8 am to 10 am. I took off work and I waited 10 comes around no call no show 12 comes around no call no show. I called them. The dispatch tried reaching the guy scheduled to come he would not respond to them! Day of work wasted I get an apology. How can you trust them to do what you’re paying for when they can’t even show up for initial appointment and no call or anything UNPROFESSIONAL and they don’t care.

My wife got locked into a year contract, when we tried to call to cancel they told us we aren't allowed to cancel until our last payment has been made. I don't think we needed this to start with (we have a brick house in Tennessee, which I think means termites are less of a risk). I wanted to make sure other people knew about our experience.

Terrible company. Made an appointment, gave them my credit card got a confirmation and they didn’t show up. I had no time to find another company and they ruined a party and I am allergic so it was important they come. I do not recommend.

If I could give -10000000000 infinity stars to the horrible service I have gotten from this laughable company I would. You LIE, you have ZERO integrity, and you are THIEVES. I am more than sorry I let you scam me out of $11,000 dollars for NOTHING. I hired you to do a job. You stole my money and ran…no job done. I’ve made multiple attempts to call and I’m promised by “customer service 🤣” that I will be called back. I have escalated and demanded a return call from my local branch manager. CRICKETS, nothing, zip, nada. I want a refund. I’m so sorry I didn’t read reviews before I hired you. There are more bad than good reviews about the absolute ABYSMAL “service 🤣” you barely provided. Here’s the most useful piece of advice if you’re looking for pest control…DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER TERMINEX! What you call service, I call stealing. Absolutely pathetic and not one of your management members will take accountability for your criminal behavior. You belong in jail, you scammers. I can’t even get a return call. Pitiful… I can’t put a real date of service because I have not gotten any real service.

I will NEVER, ever use Terminix again. Do not make the same mistake I did. Nearly 2 years ago we had a live bat appear in our home. As new homeowners in a new town, we turned to what we thought was a trusted national brand. They sent someone out and quoted $3,400 for a complete exclusion, all new insulation, sealing work, etc. That was a lot, but we were willing to pay to ensure we’d never see a live bat in our living space again. Maybe 10% of the work was done. One space of many actually got the new insulation. Nothing was sealed—to the point that our entire roof is open to bats flying in. No plans were made to return and finish the job. My calls and escalations are continually ignored. Worst of all, we’ve now had 4 separate occasions of finding live bats in our home—two times of those have been in our BEDROOM. We’ve paid hundreds of extra dollars to other pest control companies to remove the bats because Terminix won’t come out or “isn’t available.” We’ve taken two bats to the health department to ensure we don’t have rabies since we can’t confirm a bite and the bats were in our bedroom. I can’t believe how appalling this service has been.
