You know sometimes when things seem too good to be true, you should trust your gut feeling. I was offered free plans by Ted's woodworking all I had to do was provide my e-mail address, which I did and then got this reply "Invalid email. Please use another email". Sorry Ted, if you can get something simply correct, you're not to be trusted.

A mix of all sorts of woodworking documents, clearly collected (scraped?) together from various sources. Very few are of the standard advertised with clear plans and pictures - many don't even have a photo of the finished object. The 147 Woodworking Books Compendium (one of the many upsells) is a good example. All the books are really old - the most recent is from 1929 and many are from the 1800's. Want a book about Industial, steam powered woodworking machines? You'll be happy. Want a book you can use to improve your woodworking skills? Save your money and look elsewhere. The only good thing about this business is that you do get your money back when asked. Make sure you do!

The Teds Woodworking Plans is a good start for beginners, woodworking enthusiasts, to start learning and have fun with various woodworking projects. Though the actual number of woodworking plans are not as high as 16000, it actually provides their customers with a good number of plans to start with. This website sells plans that are illegally obtained from other sources. Some of the projects are available for free other places on the internet. Some are extremely low quality and some are simply assembly instructions from knock-down furniture. The entire concept is a scam.
