TechSpotReviews of techspot.com

So apparently, techspot.com doesn't sell anything, but store.techspot.com (both of which source back to the same apparent account on cloudflare) does and techspot.com says store.techpot.com is bogus. Prudent advice is just don't buy anything from them. I was about to order software from store.techspot.com and cancelled the order before giving them a CC# when I saw this on Trustpilot where techspot.com is saying they don't sell anything (but I got a cart on store.techspot.com with $40 of software in it - delte cart? Yes.): My mistake! Reply from TechSpot Dec 3, 2024 Hi Rick, we flagged your review because we don’t sell any electronics, or iPads. We believe your review was intended for a different website that was a scam. A fraudulent website called "techspot electronics" was active for a few months, frequently changing domains (.com and .store). Since this was negatively impacting our brand, we reported the site to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Google, different hosting companies, and the domain registrar. Last time we checked, the site had gone offline. That fraudulent store has no connection or affiliation with the well-established tech enthusiast website TechSpot (techspot dot com), which offers information and it's not a store. We've been online since 1998 and is the site we represent."

They banned me from the forums for asking why they are anti intel and nvidia, why their reviews are always run on AMD Rigs. And I asked of anyone there was on any payrolls or getting gifts for their reviews. If you question with a valid question and they ban you, then you know something shifty is going on.

I wanted to download a free image file viewing/conversion program and was in two cases directed to different sites, both known for installing re-directing search extensions that would override what you currently use. I can't believe Techspot has sunk this low. the program was Irfanview and it was the 64 bit Windows implementation.

I went there, I see Good customer service They do Mobiles and Also New models Phone Accessories Lots of Long last perfumes,Jewellery unisex’s Travels Bags and many items I recommend this store

12 years ago the site was pretty good, with decent writing and some good information on newish tech that was hard to find elsewhere. Over the years, the articles have gotten shorter, the in-depth testing of new tech has gotten more rare and random, the recommendation sometimes leave out very good options (according to a myriad of comments. The mods are one-sided, power-mad, knee-jerk leftists, who allow all sorts of off-topic vitriol posted by TDS-suffering users, but will delete on a whim any response to said comments. In addition to the increasing mediocrity of content, the commentary by the mentally ill makes it a site to avoid.

When I started reading articles 1-2 years ago I thought I found a good site. Slowly things changed to the worst. Some articles are clickbaits with 0 sources to back those claims (latest one was that the Iphone 17 pro will film in 8K). Also the admins are lazy/incompetent. For any comment they don't like you get banned with no explanation. When you get banned that account is done, because there is no way to un-ban it. The only way you can un-ban it is to get an admin to un-ban it but they don't respond to anything. They already banned 2 of my accounts (one of those accounts: Pasulj). It is a horrible site to comment or socialize. I recommend to stick to YT or GamersNexus site. I hope people from TechSpot read this and start doing something. For now avoid the site. The only reason I am giving it a 2/5 stars is because sometimes you find good articles (the ones from hardware unboxed on YT).

Got a great deal on Microsoft Office, older but new enough for my needs. They sent the key in minutes, it was downloaded quickly and activated even quicker. Well done guys, and thanks so much for saving me the monthly fees tech giants crave so much nowadays!!!

I wanted to download PRODUKEY to recover windows and office license number, an antivirus stop the download, because it have VIRUS. ACHTUNG
