Terrible Customer Service, Defective Equipment, and Zero Accountability
I purchased an Afinia L502 printer from TCS Solutions in late July for approximately $3,000, and the entire experience has been a nightmare for my small business. From day one, the printer had serious alignment issues, leaving white gaps on my full-bleed black labels and shifting material during print runs. I contacted TCS for technical assistance, was promised a callback, and never received one. I eventually contacted Afinia directly, who were far more helpful, although the printer's performance remained disappointing. Things got worse when I discovered TCS had supplied the wrong printhead (dye instead of pigment). When my ink needed replacing, the printer wouldn't accept my pigment cartridges, forcing me to spend approximately $200 on another printhead to meet production deadlines. Despite their mistake, TCS offered no reimbursement. They then shipped a replacement cartridge to the wrong address, leaving me knocking on neighbors' doors to locate it. Again, zero accountability. The printer's performance has continued deteriorating. Constant alignment adjustments, crooked cuts, white lines between labels, and sheet labels being crushed during printing have made this $3,000 machine practically unusable. After exhausting every possible troubleshooting option, I contacted TCS twice requesting assistance with a return or replacement. Both emails have gone completely unanswered. Unfortunately, I financed this equipment through TimePayment under a 21-month agreement, leaving my small business stuck paying for a machine that cannot reliably perform its intended function. My advice to other small business owners: DO NOT purchase from TCS Solutions. When something goes wrong, even when it's their own order-processing error, you're apparently on your own. Their lack of communication, accountability, and after-sale support is unacceptable. A $3,000 investment is significant for a small business, and I now find myself trying to figure out how to escape a financing agreement for equipment I cannot use. Extremely disappointing.
