Disappointing handling of a damaged…
Disappointing handling of a damaged collectible tin I have always had good experiences ordering from Target Sports USA, so I was surprised and disappointed by how they handled this issue. I purchased a knife that came in a collectible tin, and the tin arrived damaged. I called customer service, explained what happened, and they pulled up my order. They told me they would email me a list of information to provide. I took the time to gather everything requested and sent it in. About 12 minutes later, I received what appeared to be a generic response stating that they only accept returns or issue replacements if the actual ammunition cartridges are damaged. My purchase was a knife in a collectible tin—not ammunition. Two things frustrated me. First, if their policy already ruled out any assistance, why wasn’t that explained during the initial call? Instead, I spent time gathering information only to receive a response that didn’t even address the product I purchased. Second, they offered no resolution, even though the collectible tin was part of the item. The purchase wasn’t expensive, so this is more about the principle and how a customer’s concern is handled than the money. I called back, asked for the issue to be escalated, and requested a phone call rather than another email. That response is still pending, and I will update this review if they resolve the issue. It’s easy to be satisfied with a company when orders go smoothly. How they handle a problem is what really shows the quality of their customer service.
