Talk In FrenchReviews of talkinfrench.com

I finally found something that helped bring focus to my French learning. I’ve tried a number of tools and programs and also tried doing learning on my own but my coach Maude and the community and crew in the French Language Accelerator allowed me to progressively work through a personalized program. On the one hand, I now realize how much I didn’t know. On the other hand I can now read and speak using tenses and expressions I couldn’t do before. I understand so much more and can participate in conversations with French colleagues. I highly recommend French Language Accelerator.

The French Accelerator program of Talk in French is a comprehensive French learning program that emphasizes talking and listening, over reading and grammar. Integral to the program is a one hour weekly tele-session with a sympathetic native speaking coach. My sessions with Charles, my coach, are the highlight of my week. Not only do I have the opportunity to speak, but it serves as a focal point for the written and audio work I do during the week. Charles is kind and patient and an excellent language teacher. It’s really motivating to have one other living person care about my progress. It makes all the difference.

I came across the French Language Accelerator Program via the newsletter from Talk in French and I am so glad I did. My bespoke personalised programme was devised once my levels of understanding had been ascertained, and it truly was an excellent fit. The course has provided me with opportunities to improve my writing and language skills with native speakers, a group of truly talented and professional individuals who mentored and supported me throughout the programme. The on-line platform is incredibly easy to navigate and the additional resources available were exemplary. Throughout the programme I received detailed and insightful feedback regarding my written exercises and audio recordings. In addition to this, I had weekly on-line face to face tutoring with my coach who was indeed patience personified. Each session was meticulously planned and was supplemented with extensive feedback on my achievements and what I needed to focus on – so thank you Jérôme for the hard work you put into my sessions, your patience and sense of humour From my perspective it has indeed been a privilege being tutored by a group of talented and professional individuals and I would highly recommend this programme and best of all – my language skills and confidence have improved immensely.

Consistent, personal attention and responsiveness

I can’t recommend the French Language Accelerator Program enough. Before joining, I had a basic foundation in French, but I often felt overwhelmed by everything I needed to learn and wasn’t always sure what to focus on next. I was extremely insecure about my speaking in particular! The program gave me access to an incredible variety of resources that made learning French feel engaging and actually fun. Between the lessons, practice materials, and live coaching, I always had something meaningful to work on, and it made staying consistent so much easier. My coach, Jonathan, is also a huge part of my success. He is patient, encouraging, and always knows how to explain things in a way that finally clicked. His guidance gave me the confidence I needed to prepare for and pass my TCF exam, which was a huge milestone for me. Today I feel so much more comfortable having conversations in French and navigating daily life in France. Instead of feeling intimidated by the language, I actually enjoy using it. If you’re looking for a program that offers outstanding resources, supportive coaching, and makes learning French enjoyable, I highly recommend the French Language Accelerator Program.

Love how it’s organized yet friendly. Structured but allows self paced learning too which I appreciate. Totally love the quick and honest lesson feedbacks from tutors. They are so patient and dedicated to see improvements. I recommend!

I have signed up again for 12 weeks. I mainly use the 2 sessions a week of coaching, listening to French news the rest of the time. I am 83 so it is going slowly but I notice the difference in my comprehension of converational French and I am quite satisfied.

Why do I think the the Accelerator program has been great? There are three parts to it: 1) My tutor Khaoula has been outstanding and is exactly what I was looking for; 2) the general structure of the program and activities outside of the actual tutoring sessions -- the community, Sabrina's challenge activities, the editing, and Frédéric's e-mails -- all point to a program that is well designed and well run; and 3) the people. Everyone associated with this program has been extremely supportive and helpful. You have a great team.
