All fine except that we were not informed that entire tour group will be of Chinese language origin. Tour guides were talking mostly Chinese and did not have good English dialect skills. Bus driver was not able to speak English at all. Was disappointed that wifi was not working through most parts of the journey so googling about the place for information also became inaccessible. Felt as if I were in China more than USA.

I took a 5 days tour from NY to Canada east coast delux tour in June 2018. The tour was well organized except couple of situations where they could have done better management. Tour guide Josh was awesome. He knew most of the region very well and did a good job on providing lot of information in both English and Chinese languages. Most of the tourist were Chinese except, two Indian families , including mine. My biggest negative remark is that the Bus was not in a good condition. It was bit old and driver never bothered to clean the bus during entire tour of 5 days. The bus was stinking from day 3 onwards and on the last day it was stinking with urine, since some of the passangers used the bathroom and bus driver never clean the bus.

We were very glad to have read all the opinions on this site before booking the tour as it prepared us mentally for the below: - TakeTours is just an intermediary, the actual trip is organised by a Chinese agency (in our case it was E-World Travel & Tours Inc) and so everything is chinese - the guide, the bus, the bus driver, the food, the hotel, even the pickup locations are only in china towns of Brooklyn and Manhattan - instead of sleeping in Bennington as announced on the website we ended up in Brattleboro which is 40 miles more on the east - website only mentiones snow tubing as optional activity for the first day, when on the bus we got to know we will also be visiting a farm on our way (and will have to pay for it what was not mentioned on the website) - the optional activities were virtually forced on people (fortunately we were actually interested in them) and the price was 20% higher than the one we saw on the website (and than the one posted at the place of activity) - optional activities + dinner + service fee summed up to 83 dollars per person (which had to be paid in cash) which was half the price of the whole tour - might seem a bit expensive There were however good points of the trip: - the bus was clean and comfortable - the guide (Freeman was his name) was very friendly, helpful and well organized, spoke good English (luckily there was only 1 Chinese couple on our tour so all the explanations were made only in English) - Mount Snow is a really nice place for skiing and we had a great instructor (Amy) who in 1h30 managed to teach us the basics which then allowed us to enjoy the slope on our own All in all we had a good time, nice experience for someone who has never had skis on their feet before. I don't think however that we will choose TakeTours to book any other trip (too scared of getting into a group that will be predominantly Chinese...).

We did the LA to Las Vegas tour departing 20 September Chaotic organisation, too much Chinese spoken We booked for the Grand Canyon south RIm then we’re asked to go to Antelope Canyon because the bus was not big enough for everybody, I wonder why the two people who boarded for the South rim got priority over us? We got on the bus for West RIm and I insisted we went to the Grand Canyon as we had travelled from England to see it this despite protests from the tour guide Good points: fine value for money and quality hotel in Vegas

my experience wasnt very good. all bus is chinese who dosent want to speak english, tour guide was only for tellung us where we are stopping and what time to get back to the bus. almost none explanation!!!! speaking chinese all the time. when we had issues with the room we had to handle by ourself. he didnt give us his cell number. we were lucky to see beautiful sites!!!

If you only speak english don’t choose because you won’t be getting a lot informations as some the tour guides speak very little english. You will never know whom you will get. Better off looking the true english tour than this. Said in the website there will be English but almost no english except the important details like name of a place,time, place and room number. Miss the whole history of a place because i couldn’t understand chinese.

Not recommend, as your guide and driver were not good enough with tourist. At one hotel my keys of the room was not working and I called guide Mike to do something as I was traveling alone and he replied me that you have to come to the desk, which was very far and two floors down and told that he was outside the hotel. So I requested next door tourist to look after my bag and went down stairs and surprisingly Mike was there having coffee.

Average – acceptable experience but with some friction.
