Purchased Rod/Reel combo 10ft surf Rod. Used first time in Cape Hatteras Invitational Tournament. (Fish refused to cooperate). First time surf fishing so I'm certainly not the expert, but I am a seasoned freshwater angler. Combo is smooth and light but strong and sturdy. Thinking about a 12ft combo in near future.
