I signed up for a trial and tried to cancel within the 'free period' only to have $70 AUD taken from my account. For the limited time I spent on Syllaby before realising it was not useful to me or my business to be charged $70 is ridiculous. Beware.

I wanted to share my recent experience with your platform. On May 14th, I decided to give Syllaby.io a try by signing up for a 7-day trial. Unfortunately, within just a few minutes, it became apparent that the service did not meet my expectations. I promptly canceled my subscription by navigating to the "Subscription" section on your website. To my surprise, on May 21st, I noticed a charge of $49.00 USD on my account from Syllaby.io, despite having canceled my subscription. I immediately tried to reach out to your company to rectify this mistake, but I was unable to find any contact information on your website. This situation led me to contact my bank in order to initiate a chargeback. However, it is disheartening to inform you that the bank informed me that the chargeback was unsuccessful, as your company allegedly did not confirm my cancellation and placed the burden of proof on me. I believe it is important for companies to uphold ethical practices and provide excellent customer service. Unfortunately, my experience with Syllaby.io has been quite disappointing, as I have encountered difficulties in resolving this issue. I kindly request that you address this matter promptly and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Customers should be able to trust in the services they subscribe to and receive the support they need when facing challenges.

Hello! While we do ask for a credit card to start the free trial, it absolutely is free! We offer a 7 day free trial that you can cancel any time in your account :). I hope that you might consider giving Syllaby a try!

Syllaby promises a free trial on signup without payment but then requires $50 subscription

Hi Alex! While we do ask for a credit card upon signing up, you will not be charged until after the 7-day free trial period has ended. You are able to cancel the account at any point within the 7 day trial period and you will not be charged. I'm sorry for any confusion on this! We hope you'll give Syllaby a fair chance!
