Active and social group travel for people who would rather belong somewhere than just go somewhere.SurfYogaBeer has been running active, social group trips since 2014. Most of our travelers are in their 20s to 40s, come from cities like New York, LA, Chicago and DC, and book solo. By day two, they are not solo anymore. We don't always surf, or do yoga, or drink beer. But whatever we do, it's always in good balance. Surfing in Nicaragua. Skiing in Austria. Sailing in Turkey. Safari in Kenya. Hiking the Dolomites. Boat days in Croatia. Trips run about a week, with a mix of adventure, movement, real food, local culture, and nights that go later than planned. This is not a retreat. There is no mandatory silence, no woo-woo, and nobody is going to make you journal about it. It is a balance of adventure, sweat and social connection, run by leaders who have done the trip before and know where the good stuff is.Age is just a number here. We host a diverse mix of people in their 20s to 40s, sometimes even 50s. Energy matters more than your birth year. It's about showing up, not being the fittest person there. Most people come solo. Most people leave with a group chat that is still going a year later.Based in New York. Traveling everywhere.

Lovely tour leader on and off the yatch. Lovely yatch trip too and amazing rookie (as shared with the leader. Helpful in every way and ensuring we were stocked up too as it was the turkey trip.

The accommodations were awesome and conveniently located near the beach. The food was healthy and filling. Our leader did a great job keeping us on task and engaged.

This was my second trip with Surf Yoga Beer, following Amalfi, and what makes SYB so different is that they've genuinely figured out the balance. I don't drink, and honestly, it couldn't have mattered less. That's something I particularly appreciate about SYB. The experience isn't built around any one lifestyle. It's wellness, fitness, adventure, a little spontaneity, and a whole lot of enjoying life. The energy of the people these trips attract is what really makes it. Everyone is there for similar reasons, and there's this shared appreciation for living well, having fun, and making the most of wherever you are in the world. Belize was a smaller group than my first trip to Amalfi, which made for such a fun dynamic. We went from complete strangers to feeling like a group of friends who had known each other for years in what felt like no time. So much laughter, genuinely great people and leaders (Savannah and Sarah Cat) and friendships that have continued well beyond the trip. Another thing I appreciate about SYB is that you're getting an actual travel experience, not just a packed itinerary with a group of strangers. The accommodations are beautiful, the relationships they've established with their local partners make everything feel seamless, and there's a really nice balance between having everything thoughtfully planned and still having the freedom to do your own thing. Whether that's exploring, joining every activity, or taking an afternoon to yourself to recharge, there's room for all of it. My advice to anyone considering a trip? **F-it, book it.** Seriously, what's the worst that happens? You visit a beautiful country, meet some interesting people, get outside your comfort zone, and learn a little more about yourself? Sounds like a pretty good worst-case scenario to me. Theres also a photographer there to capture every moment which is such a perk. Two trips in, and I can confidently say SYB has created something pretty special. It's the kind of experience you leave already thinking about the next one.

SYB Iceland is and was one for the books best trip and memories. This was my fourth Surf Yoga Beer trip in the last nine years, and there is a reason I keep coming back. The trips are incredibly well planned and give you access to experiences and places that would be really difficult to put together on your own. I’ve been able to see parts of the world I probably never would have visited otherwise, especially because I wouldn’t necessarily want to travel to some of these places alone and my usual friend group isn’t always quite as active or adventurous! What I love about SYB is that it somehow manages to be the perfect balance of adventure, fun, wellness, a little bit of bougie, and plenty of time to actually enjoy yourself. There is never pressure to participate in everything. The leaders really reinforce that it is your vacation, so you can go at your own pace and make the experience what you want it to be. The groups have also consistently been amazing. Mostly people in their 30's but I'm mid 40's. You show up with a bunch of strangers and leave with people who can genuinely become lifelong friends. The leaders do such a great job of guiding the energy of the group while making everyone feel safe, comfortable, and at home. And I have to mention boat day, which is somehow always one of my favorite days of every trip. SYB just knows how to create those unforgettable moments. Overall, it is such a special combination of adventure, community, travel, and really good vibes. Four trips in, I’m already looking forward to wherever I go with them next. This are once in a lifetime experiences that you couldn't do without them.

Four trips in nine years and boat day still wins, love that. Thanks for the honest note on ages and for saying it's your vacation, your pace. See you on number five.

The leaders of the Dolomites trip were fantastic. I really appreciated the mix between difficult hikes and fun. Made great friends too!

Isabelle, the mix of tough hikes and fun is exactly what we go for in the Dolomites. Thanks for the shout out to the leaders.
