Warning...Warning...Warning...
I signed a contract with super speed hauling to haul my van home from Louisianna to Michigan for 600$ I thought that was a great deal so I signed the contract and was assured that there were no hidden fees it was all inclusive no surprises. It was supposed to be picked up Sat I got a call from the driver he wanted to charge me 800$ I said no. my contract was for 600$ He hung up on me so on Monday another driver was supposed to pick up my vehicle he did not show until Wednesday AM He picked up my van and after he left the dealership with my van I got a call from a Man stating that he had my van and was on his way but the price went up to 850$ and that I needed to sign a new contract for 850$ or my van would be dropped on the side of the road. This man was extremely rude and spoke broken english and was yelling at me to sign the contract or he will dump my van. I called the broker and he said that is the price and he spoke to my mom and she agreed to the price. I told him My mom has been dead for 9 years I am pretty sure she did not agree to anything. But he still said that was the price nothing could be done about it. So I signed the new contract for 850$ as I was being blackmailed. The man that claimed to be hauling my van said he would be at my house Thursday. I said I wanted GPS tracking He said his GPS was not working. On Thursday I asked for updates from the driver and he could not tell me where he was or what time he would be here. He finally said he would be here late evening. At 8pm I asked for a time he said 10PM He did not show up so I called him at 10:30pm He said he was near our location but would not tell me where but he would be here between 5am and 10am. Finally at about 8am Friday morning our van showed up. The driver was very polite but could not speak any english so we had to use the phone to interpret everything. He never heard of the other driver. That man that said he was going to dump my van on the side of the road never even had my van. I don't know why he was involved in the process except that he was interpreting for the driver. but the poor driver had no knowledge of any of the things that man was saying . So just be aware that anything they say to you is subject to change and a contract means nothing to them and they will black mail you into signing the new contract. If they would have been honest with me from the beginning I would probably agreed with it all but they told me lie after lie including talking to my dead mother. The driver that showed up with my van was a very good driver and my van was in great shape. As far as I know he did not know anything about all of the shenanigans that were being played behind the scene.

We’re sorry for your experience. Unfortunately, some drivers and their dispatchers act this way out of greed for extra money, even after a shipment has been agreed upon. In some cases, carriers put us in a difficult position by demanding more money, and we even have to pay extra from our own pocket to ensure our customers’ vehicles are delivered. These situations are not something we support or encourage. We do our best to arrange transportation at the agreed price, but sometimes carriers put both the customer and the broker under pressure. We regret that you had to go through this experience.
