Easy to make the order yet thought an hour for a milkshake to be delivered would be too late then to ask polity if it could be delivered any earlier to be rudely told no and it comes when it comes, thought there customer service was really poor and should learn some manners

Ordered sheet set November 26th, cart stated in stock with shipping in 2-3 days. Next day got an email stating back-ordered until December 11., I contacted them again on December 14th because had not heard anything, now back-ordered until December 26. Charged card and took payment on November 26th! Still listed on site as shipping 2-3 days when put into cart. Pretty bad experience for shopping in 2017.

I purchased a rug through Sugar and Spice. However, when I received the rug, the colors were not nearly as saturated and vivid as shown in the photos. As a result, within 72 hours, I contacted Sugar and Spice and requested an RMA which is what they require in order to return an item. After 3 requests and no response, I realized the 30-day period would lapse and I would be stuck with a store credit which I did not want. Based on the poor customer service, I would not want a credit as I do not want to patronize this store again. I finally had to dispute the purchase with my credit card company in order to get Sugar and Spice to respond to my request. I still have not received the RMA. Until I do, I will continue to dispute the charge. What a horrible experience. I do not recommend purchasing from this company. Beware of any company that makes returns so challenging! With the broad selection of stores like Overstock and Wayfair that wants their customers happy and satisfied, there is no reason to put up with this. Make sure if you purchase something from Sugar and Spice that you really, really like it because they will do everything they can to ensure that you have a difficult time returning it.

The website clearly says "all dash and Albert rugs come with free rug pad.". When mine arrived, no rug pads. I used online chat and rep said - no free rug pads with sales rugs. This should be made explicit on website.
Response from Sugar and Spice DecorSep 15, 2016
Hello Holly, Thanks for reaching out to us. Our current promotion does offer free rug pad on regular priced rugs only. The customer is presented with the option of selecting the free pad when the choose their rug. As you can see, our sale section of rugs does not advertise a free rug pad with your purchase nor does it offer the free pad as a choice/option during your purchase process. I apologize for any confusion you may have experienced. If we can be of any further assistance, please email us at [email protected]. Thank you!

I wonder if it is a one man or woman show. I can't figure out how to make a return. No one ever answers the phone. No one answers my emails. No one sends return shipping labels or information.
Response from Sugar and Spice DecorJul 8, 2016
Hi Mollie, We are a small company, so if you get our voicemail just leave a message. All calls are returned within the same business day between 9am-5pm EDT. If you don't leave us a message we have no way to call you back. :) We did reply to your email dated 6/26 on 6/27. We stated that a prepaid return label would be sent to you within 24 business hours. The label was sent later the same day. It would have come from UPS on behalf of Sugar & Spice Decor. I have resent it to you again now. Please check your "spam" folder if you don't see it in the next 20 min or so. Also, when you call our 800 number, prompt #2 is specifically for returns and will provide you all the information you need to make a return. Thanks and have a great day! I used a 20% off promo code the company sent me in An email. After paying and receiving an order confirmation, I received an email saying the promotion had expired and I needed to pay an additional $40 or so!!! WTH?!? I responded that they should honor the promo because the order had gone thru w/it and I was not going to pay more, and they could do that or I would take my business elsewhere. They refused to honor the promo and I cancelled the order.

Hi Nancy, Thank you for taking time to review Sugar & Spice Decor. Regretfully, the code you attempted to use for your purchase was no longer a valid code and was for a holiday promotion that had long since expired. We do have several promotional sales per year - usually around the major holidays. So keep an eye out for sales around Labor Day, Black Friday, Memorial Day, etc. Thank you! Kind Regards, Sugar & Spice Decor Customer Care

Bad experience
Response from Sugar and Spice DecorJul 2, 2016
Hi Eric, Thank you for taking the time to rate us. I'm sorry your experience with us wasn't up to par! As I recall, you wanted to return a rug almost 7 months after purchasing it because the color of the Falls Stripe Pink rug no longer worked with your color scheme. You also wanted us to pay for your return shipping. Our return policy is 30 days for a full refund, no questions asked. The cost for return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We did offer to accept your return and provide you with a store credit, less a 20% restocking fee, (due to length of time that passed from the purchase to the return) but you declined and decided to keep the rug instead. Kind Regards, Sugar & Spice Customer Support
