So I have had the same issue with Suddenlink for 3 years now. From October through February I have no internet from 10:00 pm to 8 am. I've filed complaints with my state, but was told there is nothing they can do as Suddenlink does not respond to them. All they want to do is send a technician out to find no issue and charge me 60 dollars. When I suggest the problem is not at my home, they tell me they only work on homes. The next night same thing. Call Suddenlink, get an appointment, waste time waiting on a tech, get charged 60 dollars because there is no problem. Yet, every night, no service. I am in the IT industry, so I know what is going on. Apparently, this company doesn't. As I said, this is year 3.

Terrible company
Terrible company. My internet is down almost every day.when I call, it’s very difficult to talk to a person. They make you go through an automated set of instructions that I already did. Had 4 technicians out to the house, making me wait for days with no internet. All made a misdiagnosis ( nice guys just incompetent) and no improvement. Very expensive for very bad service.

Do your best to steer clear of these crooks.
I strongly recommend anyone to stay as far away from suddenlink as possible. Incompetent customer service and "technicians" who literally never give an accurate reason as to WHY their service is so crummy. Overpriced and never deliver even half of the speeds you pay for. Literally a scam. My town has a class-action lawsuit against them, that is how shady this company is. I have an outage LITERALLY every day ranging from half an hour to OVERNIGHT.

Zero understanding
So i signed up for internet and expected a 200 gift card. We had a fire and had to move and when we changed our address to the apartment we had to live in for 4 months while our house was repaired they count that as me disconnecting service and therefore they do not have to pay me. Even though the service is back at the current address I first signed up for and no one wants to listen to my reasons.

DO NOT USE THEM!!
DO NOT USE THEM!!! They are just looking to take your money. Won't let you cancel unless it falls within your billing period. Made several mistakes with my account and tried to blame me for the problems. When I tried to cancel them they wanted to charge me a months worth of service to do so.. Ridiculous!! Avoid them at all costs.

BEWARE!
When I subscribed to Suddenlink I was promised a $300 reward card. The reward card was to be sent after 90 days of payments being received on time. Since we agreed to auto pay through our bank account the payments were definitely on time. At the end of 90 days service I contacted Suddenlink Cust service and was told that we did qualify and the card would be mailed out in 7-10 days. It is now the beginning of our 8th month of service and after a total so far of 5 calls to Suddenlink and promises each time that the card will be sent… we have NEVER received the reward card. I am going file a report with the Missouri Attorney General office and any other agency available to help me as a consumer.

Don't even bother
I was a customer for over two years living in a military dormitory, then after moving, tried them out for a week or two before leaving them. Let me tell you, I'll never be using this company again.
In the dorms, this internet was the best option I had, because it was the only option; it was between Suddenlink and Boingo, and given that Boingo's service is about as good as paying to hijack somebody's unlocked wifi from four houses away, Suddenlink was kind of the default for me.
Let me tell you, even in the dorms, I had a hard time justifying paying for this. The signal only went out a couple times in that whole 2+ years, but the internet speed was nothing like the 1-gig I was originally paying for. Also, they'll double the price on you without warning - I was happily paying the advertised $80 (I think) for 1-gig internet, but despite that not being advertised as a promotion, I started being charged $160 after a year. I never received any email or anything telling me that I'd be paying twice as much except for once my bank account started draining out of nowhere.
I downgraded to 256-mb internet because I just couldn't afford that on a military paycheck. I though this would let me access the $60 (I think) price they advertise, including when you're trying to switch plans, but I only managed to get my bill down to the low-mid $100s. I had to pay this for the rest of the time I was in the dorms just to get decent internet.
After leaving the dorms, I called to cancel my internet, and was unable to do so because I didn't know the security code that I never set or received. (Supposedly they send it on the statement they mail you each month, but I wasn't getting mailed any statement.) After managing to get in contact with them and verifying I owned the account via a bank statement, I spent 20-25 minutes arguing with a foreign customer service rep about why I should be permitted to cancel my service before getting transferred to their supervisor, the only person who had the authority to cancel my service to begin with. He then spent 10 minute arguing with me about why I should stay, eventually keeping me because a) I was tired of the phone call and b) I was being offered two free months of service and a reduction to $40 per month for 1-gig internet for a year, before they'd bump it back up to $160. "This is just how things are when you become an adult," he told me. "People charge you extra after a year or something and you have to call to negotiate the price. You'll have to get used to it."
Condescending supervisor aside, I ended up getting a fella to come out and install a phone cable for my router, since my house didn't seem to have any hooked up. However, the person didn't tell me that he'd be drilling destructively through several walls in my house, which is something I'd need approval from my landlord for; he asked if he could get access into a utility closet outside, then kinda just went at it with my walls. Even with all of the drilling the technician did, though, he didn't bother to bury any of the cable into the walls, instead opting to screw the cable into the molding on the walls of the room leading up to my computer room, drill through the wall between the rooms, then lazily wind the daisy-chained set of several 6-foot phone cables around the perimeter of the room (without screwing anything to the wall) to get to my computer. Let me tell you, that made for fun negotiations with my landlord.
I was finally fed up with this terrible service when my 1-gig internet would cut out constantly, and would rarely get to 700-mb even if I was plugged in via ethernet cable to my modem (which was an all-in-one modem and router). The wifi on that modem was also terrible, and barely worked at all from as little as two rooms away.
I had to call three more times to try and cancel for good. The first time I called, after about ten minutes, I mutually ended the phone call with the customer service rep once they told me I'd need a bank statement or the serial number of my modem. I had a bank statement pulled up for the second phone call, but the customer service rep told me that the amount and date weren't the last payment I'd made; I came to find out during the third call that they were asking for the amount I was "paying" via the credit on my account, which I had no way to know or see, because I was never given digital access to my account or sent any mail until well after cancelling. This also, naturally, was never sent to my bank, so they were incorrect in saying that I'd see it in my account.
I'll also note that this customer service rep hung up on me during the phone call because I was taking too long for their liking to pull up bank info.
The third call, in short, concluded within 40 minutes with a manager apologizing for my experience and saying "we could have just given you our office number so you wouldn't have to deal with that."
Jesus.

Suddenlink Has Terrible Customer…
Suddenlink Has Terrible Customer Service Here In The Area I Live In South Texas. They Definitely Do Not Put Their Customers First. Shotty Workmanship That I've Experienced Is Ridiculous. Technicians Don't Even Call To Locate Your Address They Just Cancel Your Scheduled Appointment Without Contacting You.
