Be aware when you join Stripey that you will pay £1.50 for each text they send you, whether you read it or not, which in my case was three times a month. I unwittingly joined, and feel I’ve been scammed. BE SURE TO READ ANY SMALL PRINT it will cost you up to £54 a year. I texted STOP to their number on 88222 today, and hopefully I’m free from this costly scheme.

Would put 1- if I could. I too unwittingly found that I had”joined” Stripey by looking at a Boots offer. Every time I got the text I replied STOP but the next month there was the text again. Disgusting. Finally used website and unsubscribed and got sms confirmation. This firm is coining money by doing nothing and should be prosecuted for fraud

I have been getting emails from Stripey which is a scam company. £1.50 being charged by text. I spoke to 02 who will not refund my loss of £10 which has come from Bauer Media Group. The more people that contact 02 the better as I feel they are part responsible. You can either block all spend on your account apart from the subscription by phoning 02 on 202 or send the text STOP to the scam number being 88222. This must be in capital letters.

Was totally dupped into this. I thought I was completing a survey connected to Tesco and was immediately bombarded with texts from Stripey! Had no clue what had happened but soon realised roughly they were con merchants and I hadn’t signed up for this. Immediately sent STOP reply to one of their emails but as with everyone else have been charged £11 on my phone bill that I have just received. I never used this company and literally stopped as soon as I started to receive their emails. All emails sent to them was to stop the service before it even could begin but have been charged nicely for the privilege. They obviously only make their money this way and I’m sure no one agrees to want their service but still they make their money for Nothing!!! Hope karma comes their way

A PayPal weekly deduction of £5.99 set up. No idea what this is for. Stripeygiraffe is very unclear about what they are selling and on the PayPal forum, 45 other people had the same issue that I am having, money taken from account and nobody knows what it is for. Beware scammers.

Filled out a from for another company and instantly got texts from StripyOffers, saying they were charging me £1.50 per text. I can't belive this is legal. It's probably not, but the owner will make loads until it is stopped. THIS MUST BE STOPPED.

Disgusting company. Scamming people. I kept getting texts off them , but didnt open them. Only to find I've been charged £1.50 for each text. How can this company get away with this scam. From the reviews its happening to lots of people & they are still getting away with it. Only way to stop it is to put a 0 cap on with provider. I've done this now with Tesco but takes a month to implement. Hoping somebody can put a stop to this scam. Everyone is working hard to make ends meet & they are stealing money from innocent people.
