I recently completed the Strategy Finishing School and can confidently say it was a great experience. Great videos, great frameworks, great case studies. What truly sets Julian apart is the quality of his feedback. Receiving a thoughtful, detailed video review of my work made the whole experience feel personal and deeply human. It wasn’t generic encouragement — it was precise, constructive, and genuinely invested in helping me grow. You can feel that he cares about the craft and about the people going through the program. If you’re looking to sharpen your thinking with someone who takes the time to really engage with your work, I highly recommend it. A meaningful step forward in my journey as a strategist.

I'm only part way through and the cert is already adding so much rigour to my thinking, my processes and taking as much ambiguity out of a craft that is by nature, extremely subjective and creative. It's giving me so much confidence.

I wanted to wait a bit before writing this review—not because I didn't think it deserved it, but because I wanted to see the full impact. It definitely paid off. Big time. I got laid off in the fall. My position was titled "Senior Planner/Strategist," but when I sat down to update my resume, look for a new job, and prepare for interviews, I realized something: I didn't have a clear understanding of my role and its definition. I struggled to articulate frameworks, scopes, inputs, outputs, and even basic campaign processes without getting bogged down in details. I had a case of posthumous imposter syndrome.
