Manufacturers request model and serial number information as part of the warranty process so they can track part failures across specific models and production runs and verify how a component is being used in the field. This information helps them evaluate warranty claims consistently and improve product quality over time. Serial numbers are not required to place an order, and in many cases they are not needed to confirm compatibility. However, for certain parts or warranty claims, a serial number may be required to verify that the correct component was installed in a compatible appliance. When a warranty claim is submitted, we are required to follow the manufacturer’s evaluation process, which can include requesting additional information depending on the part and application. These requirements are set by the manufacturer and apply regardless of where the appliance itself was originally purchased. Our goal is to provide clear information, accurate parts, and transparent guidance throughout the ordering and warranty process so customers can move forward with confidence.
