I use StockCharts primarily to chart stocks. I don't use the scans because learning how to program them takes time away from doing stock research.

Chart values differ from E-Trade values ? I trade gaps alot just wondering who’s is the most accurate? I’ve been a member for sometime and still find value .

down loading the chart has been slowed. It should be within 1 second. The automatic update of the chart should be only 5 seconds not 15 seconds. To view a bigger chart , the main chart height should be adjustable. The pivot points study selection should be able to hide able by one mouse click. The cross hair should be thin line than the wider line. The wider line makes it harder to read and corrupts the chart's clear view. There should be a screener and scanner for pre-market stock movers. The daily chart should show the previous earnings release date marked on the chart. The web site should try its best to include the current important news messages like FINVIZ does. The symbol GOOG in market carpet is not the right one it should be GOOGL the voting shares. The color scheme for the market carpet is very confusing. The site uses darker red for the most down and bright red for less than 3% down stocks. Please refer FINVIZ follow their scheme. That is very interesting. The most movers should be bright and outstanding for the eye. Currently it is opposite. FINVIZ did a very good job. Simply follow their style and features.

I have gotten used to seeing the market from a set of higher end charts provided by the service. My main complaints are that it is expensive and increasingly less useful. The "experts" are now just selling their own advisor services. Subscribe to more advise...only $400 a year for the real secret to the market. And there are at least 5 of these services. The other complaint is they keep messing with the charts. Through increasingly complex menus I spend a lot of time trying to make it work like it used to.
