I'd give them negative stars if I can. This is the worst of the worst background check company one can ever imagine. I had worked for a few top of notch companies and worked with a few background check companies in the past 14 years. None of the companies I worked with would keep coming back to me asking lots and lots additional information and even I provided everything they asked for, they still can't get a hold with my previous companies which I can easily get in touch with just a single email. And even all these done, this Sterling Talent company still keeps going back to the employer saying they can't verify mostly everything. It's the background check company's obligation to prove my previous employment, not me. I just don't even want to work for this potential employer anything by going through so much hassle. If you're an employer and reading on this, please help yourself and the potential employee by getting a background check company with good reputation and the ability to get the job done.

I’ve spoken back and forth with people on the phone for the past week and a half that work for sterling just for a background check and I’ve never been so frustrated before. They would promise me that my background check would be finished either today or the next and it still hasn’t stopped pending. I’m loosing money for all the days I don’t work and I’m pretty annoyed by their unprofessionalism. Get it together Sterling!

sterlingbackcheck.com is worst company to start background check with. I am not sure why companies even use their services. They ask for too much personal information who the hell ask for 1099, W2 and check stubs during background check thats something is your responsibility if we have to fill it out that makes your job easy. Sterling bad company you making us do all the work when its your job to do the background. STAY AWAY From some employers or any employers who use sterling

Very bad experience. wanted to give a negative score even. They did nothing but asked you to provide this and that, one at a time. Very annoying. You were kept asking for information. The W2 form from IRS covers two company, but they just never take a close look. Negative Score!!!!!!

Was unable to give a zero star review as 1 star is generous! This company has harrassed me everyday asking for a reference for a former employee. They email every day, sometimes up to three times per day, and also call every day on numberous occassions. Even after the reference request has been sent I am still getting calls and emails from them every day!

Very annoying to deal with. My start date for a new job was delayed due to late correspondence with this company. They asked me for the same information over and over, and I am pretty sick of it. I understand that background checks for employment is necessary, but being asked very specific things like what I was doing on one single day (for example, 5th March 2018 to 5th March 2018) is rather irritating. I provided information as asked, then they come back and ask me for proof, even if I've been unemployed that day - how would I prove unemployment? Furthermore, in that same email, they changed the dates completely, adding to the confusion. This company seems to have very confused employees who ask for too much. Nobody is realistically going to remember what happened five years ago, especially specific dates. Unfortunately, the company I am going to be working for hired this organisation, so there's not much I can do. I'd avoid Sterling Talent Solutions by all costs as they are a pain to deal with. Apologies to readers for being a little vague.

This company is so unprofessional and amateur. They make you do their job and then charge the clients. I had to research my own background/employment info and provide it to them so they could them forward it to the company. I was told that I needed 1 more bit of information and then my check would be complete. The following week I was told they needed 2 more bits of info.. and so on and so on. All of these delays eventually cost me my job. Shame on you Sterling. And shame on the companies that hire Sterling to do these background checks and believe their website stats. You give away a lot of great talent to other companies that trust their own judgement and don't fall prey to Sterling's exaggerated marketing of themselves and false claims. So Well Done!

Customer Phone Experience is great, just a bunch of bodies probably under a hammer to make the company appear like they are all reputable. However, as an organization, they are a milking organization out to suck your money. They work with a form known as a Passport. They are fond of cancelling orders and requesting a new reissue of that Passport due to any Clinical or Minor errors that could easily be corrected. By the way that re-issue of the Passport comes at a cost...no reason why minor errors cannot be corrected at no cost. They need to review their policies....
