This company has contacted me requesting personal information regarding one of my employees. They haven’t told me why, or who has engaged them to carry out the screening. I have asked them who initiated the request and who this confidential, personal data will be shared with. They have replied that under their company policy they cannot share that information. You couldn’t make this up....

Worst ever, if you have a single chance - stay away from them. So sad that I must give them a star, they don't deserve even one!!! Greedy, corrupt, rude, absolutely dishonest "company"! Costumer service work against costumers, hard working person have NO rights at all, but they are always right. Clients humiliation, disrespect and mega-profits are the three whales on which this scum-"company" stands!!! Hope they will be punished by the government soon, this outrage can not last forever!!! P. S. Most of the good reviews looks very suspicious to me, in my opinion they are fake.

I had to fill in my information for an internship in a big company and was stunned by how bad Sterling works. Not a single of their emails or fill-in-pages was without mistakes: wrong capitalization, wrong comma placement, awkward repetitions, half-missing words (all in German). I complained to the company that's employing me and apparently they don't even know how bad Sterlings service is. Sterling asked me to provide tons of informations, inlcuding all addresses I lived at the last 6 years (since I'm a student who moved a lot are maaaany), security numbers and passport scans. Terrible service, unprofessionally done. Feels like a phishing website. I'd have given 0 stars.

Just had the worst experience ever with Sterling. AVOID this company at all cost. For 1 month I have been trying to complete a background check with Sterling only to run into error after error on their website. The customer service is awful. I have spent over 10 hours e-mailing them and talking to them on the phone. Every time the issue is not resolved my information is deleted and we start the process all over again.

Why in the hell do I have problems with this company this the second time they playing with me I don’t have a record in Nevada just moved here and like the last time they still waiting on Nevada to come back I’m filing a lawsuit

Words can not explain just how bad this company are. Employers wake up and stop using this incompetent company.

I’d give it no stars. Because of these clowns reporting the wrong info to a potential job I got screwed. Lost out on a job because these guys out source there crap to the Middle East and can’t do a background check properly. I’ve never failed a background check before until this company reported wrong info to a company. A big thank you for screwing me out of a job!!

Absoutely a waste of time. There was a 'discrepency' in my name which had me wating more than a month to be solved. Oh wait.. it was not solved. I gave up because all the say is "please call back tomorrow and we will have a reply". That's what happens when you run your company from call centres in a different country. Lack of professionalism and effciency. As an employee you probably can't help it if your employer deals with this company but if you can avoid then please do. This is probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. It's not even a company.
