I wish i could give them a zero they are such liars incompetent and disrespectful to the public. My background check was taking so long so i asked why i was told by the recruiter that they were checking with the courts i called the court they said they do not respond to such request and the request has to go thru the state police i called the state police to see if a request had been made they said no there was nothing there i then called them back and asked where they were getting their information from they said the court and other websites i said your a liar the court doesnt respond then they person from india said oh no they have connections and they will call the court and verify well once the background was complete it was complete with expunged records that were not suppose to be reported according to the courts the charges are unreportable now i am waiting to hear back to see if they are going to move forward with me even after i submitted my documentation proving expungment this company is a sham they need to be shut down if this happens to you you have the right to sue when you sue add the company as part of the litigation because they should have done due dilligence to make sure the applicant is protected

Ok so i applied at med line all went well then the record cheak that went well to then they started cheaking school fine their to till we come to ati they questioned me on this school for over three months i just gave up on the job any company that used this company service i dont even bother

They are Crap I've been cost jobs and denied child care because of their misleading and inaccurate information.. place should be shutdown for their ignorant and bad service all they do is destroy lives for a few $ then pretend they are doing some good they are pathetic

I had one freelance work for an overseas company. I provided the direct recruiter's phone number and my ID for the company. Sterling never bothered to call the recruiter and submitted this as unverified. They take an automated approach to verifying information. Every case is different and should be treated as such. It's extremely unfair.

They don't seem to have any handle on legal terms or definitions. I am not sure who or what country provides them legal input to their customers or to their background checks for potential employees. They do not seem to understand terms such as Nolle Prosequi and charges dismissed. They also found pending charges against me in a town and county I never heard or have even been close to visiting. My own legal search of that jurisdiction could not find anything or anyone close to my name. They are jeopardizing my new job with their incompetence.

Terrible customer support and liars. After ~30min on the phone, seeking an answer to what I thought simple question, and transfer from one someone doesn't know to another one who also doesn't know, the forth or fifth person lied about the results saying "we're not the one who add the result column in the report", so he doesn't know what does it means or refers to!... which doesn't make sense. If you're not allowed to explain, just say that, no need to lie. However, I believe they should answer those kind of questions "to the candidate".

Should be a zero star but we are not giving that option. Sterling Talent is by far the WORST background company out there. They do not do a good job at verifying. They then email you saying to basically do your own background check and send them proof. I was able to get my own proof of employment within 48 hours . When I called the customer service line the agent kept saying I’m so sorry . Sorry for what!? The fact you can’t do your job ? I requested a supervisor after about a 5 mins hold I was told I couldn’t speak to one. Another 10 mins of I’m sorry . I snap and demanded they give me a supervisor who was just as useless as the other agent. If you need a background check for a employee take a different route, this place is a scam and they’re getting ppl turned down for jobs because they can’t figure out how to finish a accurate background check.

Thought this had to be a joke at first. I've had several backgrounds done in the past and this was by far the most ridiculous #$%@ I have ever experienced. And it is not even complete yet. ZERO stars at best is what is fitting. Every single step had issues, every employer - not able to contact, references not even contacted, they questioned my college degree even after I sent my degree and transcripts....Geez what a joke. This company claims to have 40 years of experience, I hope they dont do background checks for anything higher than security level. Cant fix stupid...or... this is a huge scam.
