For all of you who have given this company a 3 star or better rating, you all are crazy!!! I have been waiting over a week for my backround check to come back so i can start work with this pandemic and i still havent received it. I called sterling and was told it would be 3 more days until its done. People pay to have backround checks done, so that theyre done fast and people arent left in the wind jobless waiting on the results. Sterling truly is a horrible backround company. Funny another company ran a backround check on me and it took 3 days max!!!!! Will not recommend sterling ever to anyone. If a future employment opportunity arises yet they use sterling i will not be working there, period!!!

This is a company that have no clue on doing back ground checks. I am still suprise why Uber keeps using them. They are very unreliable. I sent an email to them with forwarded documents requested and they said they got it, only to be told again that I have to open a new email address for background checks. This company will waste your money and time, they are heartless. I will never want to have anything to do with them again ever.

I have never experienced worse service than what I had to go through with this company. I completed my post office check weeks ago and received my DBS certificate 2 weeks ago yet they still haven’t done my background check? I tried emailing numerous times, no reply. Every time I call I wait for 50min to an hour for me to get through and when I do they don’t have any answers! Ridiculous. Do NOT use!!!

This company should be penalized for the background abuse they perpetrate, I hope the justice system get them and close them down. They dug so deeply in my personal life that the job lasted 4 days only and the management used that information to target me, harrasement and mockery. I suspect they broke into my gmail account because while employed for 4 days I kept receiving notifications about a beauty school's review that closed months ago, it didn't make sense. It was bizarre. STERLING'S ONE is a danger because doesn't care to give away incorrect info to a Mormon sect. STERLING'S background checks create stigmas when employers like Extra Space Storage just look for dirt against the employee. Respect boundaries! Truly unethical, invasive and intrusive. It damages people's life. Hope the Federal Goverment acts and stops this company run by sociopaths.

I have been trying to contact this company for nearly two months now to provide a background check for Uber. I have called, emailed, filled in their online contact forms and still no reply. Extremely poor service!

horrible service, the company does not respond to emails and is always with the server down, I do not know how uber went to close a partnership with sterling, I do not recommend it to anyone!

Why anyone would pay this company to do reference checks is beyond me. They tried calling once to get a reference from me for an employee. They left a long winded message to contact them with a file number I needed to use. I waited on hold for 10 minutes untill I could not wait any longer. They then tried calling me once more which I missed again. They then reported to their customer that they had tried calling me numerous times without success....I will try phoning them again as I believe no person should loose an opportunity due to this company that does not do thier job well.
