This company is terrible, they outsource the service to another country and it shows. My background check has taken over a week because I incorrectly entered an employment date. I was off by 3 MONTHS for an end date with an employer 6 years ago!! And now my employment offer hangs in the balance. Sterling is giving me the runaround that they need to RE verify with this employer because MY date was wrong. I told them that I simply made an error-- the former employer is right, why would you need to reverify with them? They couldn't give me an answer other than this is our process. It makes absolutely no sense! This company is backwards and their process makes zero sense. They are costing people their livelihoods!!!

Pathetic company, had me wait over 3 weeks to get my own results, which they didn’t even notify about! If you drink more than a cup of water a day, your results will come back as diluted and will not notify you about it. Worst DT provider in the US to deal with.

Really unacceptable service failed the background check due to no having my middle name on the bank statement. Born and lived in the Uk yet not passed to work in the Uk according to Sterling.

Not impressed by application process and time it has taken to process. I was lured in by their advert of easy application process. Very lousy and time consuming application process. I thought the Highstreet ones are time consuming and difficult to open an account. Not at all, I rather found out they are much more slicker than Sterling. I won’t be moving away from them any time soon then.

It took too long. Customer service not responsive when asked why it took so long (2week) for just criminal and education check!

Dreadful inefficient service I’ve been having CRB checks for 40 years with my airline employment & working with vulnerable adults without a problem & completed within a week sterling have taken ages with repeated emails for documents I’ve sent to them THREE times oh & my references have been requested THREE times despite being auctioned first time around one hand doesn’t know what the others doing .. it’s been so bad I’m abandoning the whole thing due frustration & lack of confidence in them
