Waiting 64 days for background checks to be completed, staff on the phone are incompetent and fob you off with what you want to hear, I've been told it will be completed next week twice in 3 weeks now, they are lying to you and they know it. Having completed other employer background checks and UK basic and advanced disclosure previously, I know it doesn't take 2 months. I would advise any business who wants their onboarding and application process to run smoothly to avoid these guys at all costs. They are useless.

I have been waiting on a background check to be completed for three weeks now. I have a previous background check for the Dept. Of Ag. As as the TSA. Why does it take a month to complete one for a Supermarket I have no idea. To any potential clients. Check out their profile on BBB website before u contract with this company period.

Horrible customer service.

My prospective employer submitted my background check with sterling on April 26, 2023, and as of this writing 05/18/23 it still has not been completed. I have done 3 status checks and written 2 emails to candidate. Support at sterlingcheck.com asking that my background check be expedited and escalated. I have also spoken to an individual at Sterling. It still has not been completed. Please know that I have never failed a background check. Unfortunately, I may have to turn down this prospective employer because of the long lengthy process of the sterling background check. But I really wanted to work for this company because I have worked for them before, the managers at that location are the best and the location is only 19 minutes from where I live. So, for me Sterling Check is very disappointing. I hope this helps.

everything is wrong with this company you can not even miss a date in your resume, background check like you are going to work for a high-security job. their service is very ridiculous good luck if this company is doing a back group check on your employer behave be ready for calls and stupid questions, I think it's new and they don't have many resources!

Worst service. Things keeps getting rejected because “it’s unreadable” when it clearly is readable. The amount of stress they gave me & im worried it might have an impact on my employment start date. They act like I’m applying to work for the government. 0/5. Unhelpful and I wish no company partners with them.

This place took so long that I lost the opportunity to work for the company that wanted to higher me. It will take them a month and a half for a 7 year background check done. They are no good
