I am regularly asked to complete reference checks by Sterling Risq and I am shocked and horrified that every time I receive a request to complete a form with people's personal information it is password protected by the exact same password. The company's name, real secure guys!

Crap service, keep back and forth asking for stuff, papers, when information was sent already, they don't bother check what we sent over. Bad screening process, information is mostly available online and they are stuck in the 90's.

Poor customer service. Kept changing the completion date. Did a background check with them 6 months ago, took 24 hours. Nothing changed, this one took three weeks. Blamed it on a municipality. Total balderdash. Still waiting for my results 6 month later, employer moved on. Filed suit against them. They don’t care either.

Waiting 5 weeks for my background check. I applied for Uber Eats to earn a bit extra and for the first 2 weeks they kept on asking me to upload the same information. Then after 4 weeks I email them everyday and just get the same automated response. Signing up for Uber eats and Sterling has been nothing but hassle and I have put days of work into it, its cost me money on extra insurance and I am still waiting for my credit check. AVOID any job that asks you to complete a Sterling credit check.

had access to the portal on Friday, tried to login and upload a couple more docs on the Monday and couldn't login to the portal. Called customer support as the site advised, as the reset password link wasn't working either, the CS advisor was rude, obviously stressed and his solution for me was try the reset password again in another browser, then hung up without solving the issue, jobsworth.

The are just about money: the next checked to see if information is correct z. You could see my drivers license number was a number off. I had ti contact them. The support isn’t in the U.S. England. They are making my company pay them more money to rerun. They spend a lot of money with them. They are about money. Please use another company. I probably lost my job.

DONT USE THIS COMPANIES "SERVICES" What this company offers as their services is truly beyond contempt. I have never encountered a company in my entire life that was so unprofessional and disgraceful. Here are a few examples: It starts right from creating an account on their website, where it says the whole process would take 20 minutes. For me, it ended up taking 2 1/2 hours because the data I had already entered would keep disappearing on their site, and I had to start over again. Then, when I finally managed to get their system to have all the data, I kept receiving emails asking me to resend the exact same data I had already submitted, claiming they hadn't received it. But that was impossible because if I hadn't entered the data while creating the profile, I wouldn't have been able to complete the profile in the first place. Regarding these emails, I kept receiving emails repeatedly asking for data that I had already sent via email, and this went on for a month. As a result, I called their headquarters in America several times, which turned out to be even worse. I was constantly being transferred to different departments, and when I did manage to reach someone who seemed responsible, that person was completely incompetent. I spoke with about 10 people in total, and they were all absolutely incompetent, unable to provide clear statements, constantly mixing things up, and giving inconsistent information. Another problem is that the company is based in America, and their employees have no knowledge of things happening outside of America. I am European and work for a European company, and the employees had no knowledge of my country of birth or the countries I have lived in, constantly confusing them with other countries during the conversations. Additionally, I kept receiving emails stating that certain scans were unreadable, which was not true, as they were absolutely perfect high-resolution scans. Furthermore, after Sterling took 6 weeks for my Criminal Record Checks, causing a delay in my start date at my company, I decided to perform those checks myself and completed them in 2 days. I could go on with the list twice as long, but I don't have time to continue writing now. However, it was important for me to give people here on this review platform, especially companies considering using Sterling's "services," an insight into how atrocious this company is. No one should collaborate with this company. I would advise any business who wants their onboarding and application process to run smoothly to avoid these guys at all costs. What they offer as their "service" is completely useless and can be done by every company itself much faster and much more cost efficient. No one from your company has ever cared about making contact as long as the process was still ongoing and you ignored my attempts to make contact! As a consequence of your incompetence I have done everything by myself and the check has been completed now. Question number 1: Why would I contact you now? Question number 2: If you have something to convey to me, then it's your turn to contact me, and not the other way around. ---------------------------------------------------------- Hiring companies don't let you be fooled by Sterling, the services provided by this company are absolutely redundant and not legitimate. Do everything yourself, its faster and cheaper and much more convenient for yourself and your future employees.

These people have been hounding me for a reference on a former employee. When you reply to their emails with info, they just ring you and send you another one. Faceless call centre with little organisation skills. I returned the required reference in 2 working days, but they will keep asking for it. I would not trust with my brand reputation
