Sterling, A First Advantage CompanyReviews of sterlingcheck.com

Well let's see it has taken almost 3 weeks for my back ground check to the point I'm considering looking for another job. The lady I talked to at Knott's berry said it never takes this long for a background check if there is any questions please feel free to contact me at 714-874-8943. Thank you

Really felt like challenging my background and previous work experience instead of collaborating to confirm my previous work experience. They also could not get in contact with my previous work's HR, when when i contacted HR, no one had called them. Emails and other things made it seem like Sterling didn't believe that I had entered correct work experience which really leaves a sour taste in the mouth of candidates who worked hard to get a new job.

I have to go thru this company for background checks and medical checks for the travel nurse agency I use. I wish I could say they are good at what they do. My first time with this company was smooth and easy, the second was just a cluster. They intentionally sent me to 2 different locations with 2 different companies. They gave me 2 days to get a drug test, 2 vaccines, a mask fit test, and a TB test completed. The order was received on a Thursday. I had to call 7 different places to find one that would do a drug test on a Saturday because where they sent me didn't do drug tests on Saturdays. I had to travel out of town to another location to get the vaccines on a Saturday. It was absolutely ridiculous. I was so frustrated and angry about being so nonchalantly inconvenienced by Sterling, and I still was unable to get everything done within the 48 hours I was given. They do not care if you are inconvenienced in the slightest and this 2 days nonsense is not feasible if the email isn't sent at a reasonable time.

I wasn't clearly asked for all information needed to complete my background check. While this may have been due to outside factors, I was contacted multiple times for additional information but wasn't ever given the appropriate area to fill this information out. It took two weeks to complete my background check when, on average, it takes 3-5 days. Their customer service was really great when I called, but the fact I had to call so many times and my employer had to chase down information just isn't efficient when you need to get through this process quickly.

I wish they would tell me everything they need at one time and not ask for things one at a time. Other than that the process was smooth.

Communication between client (myself) and between Sterling and LM is lacking. I had people contacting me about the same issues from with in your organization about the same things numerous times. Your interdepartmental communications needs to be improved greatly. The individuals were courteous but didn't have a clue when i discussed matters with them because apparently they don't talk to each other or read notes on what they are tasked to complete. In other words, they don't read pass downs from one individual to the next. As far as dates, I can't list them all.

Beginning my fifth stressing week into the background check. Very narrow means of verification allowed: email contacts, but just corporative addresses allowed, if not, they don't even bother to call by phone; then they will ask for payslips and payslips only. If you don't have them for any number of reasons they will email your future employer that they could not verify your employment. For education, they do not admit transcript of records. Slow, zero case to case verification paths. Very inattentive customer service.

Very frustrating and complicated getting tour background checks done. Then when u phone up asking for clarification its even more frustrating because they dont give you a straight answer l. I asked for additional help in completing the required application but non was forthcoming so i have ended up emailing mu documents to them.
