One of the stupid process that takes long-time to verify things of the customers. Even after given all docs, still Just Eat portal asking for the docs already provided. Shame! Not satisfied!

Engaging with Sterling Check through my future employer has been a regrettable experience from the outset. Their inability to adhere to basic instructions, coupled with a lack of coherence in their communication, has rendered their services utterly frustrating. Reviewing a single payslip takes an astonishing four weeks, during which time they inundate clients with unclear queries, only to later request previously provided documents multiple times—a task that even a novice could manage competently. Their internal auditing processes appear woefully inadequate, leading to disjointed communication between teams and egregiously delayed responses, often spanning a tedious 48 hours per payslip. As someone with an extensive work history spanning over a decade, the inefficiency of their fulfillment team has been profoundly disheartening. Despite providing ample evidence, I find myself subjected to incessant scrutiny from Sterling, while simultaneously enduring their conspicuous lack of follow-up. The fact that none of my previous employers have been contacted by Sterling further underscores their unprofessionalism, negligence, and outright laziness. Their incompetence has not only jeopardized my anticipated start date but has also left me feeling dispirited and disillusioned. It is incredulous that a company entrusted with background verification can so callously toy with individuals' livelihoods. This process, albeit straightforward, has been needlessly protracted, reminiscent of neither a quantitative analyst nor a CIA clearance but rather a mundane document collection and confirmation task. Most reputable background checks are completed within three days—a timeline that Sterling evidently struggles to comprehend. In conclusion, my experience with Sterling Check has been a profound disappointment, and I caution others against entrusting their professional endeavors to such a woefully inept organization

Vague instructions. What was acceptable to this company 18 months ago was no longer the standard. Vague replies. No acknowledgment of receiving information. Could have obtained documents faster myself.

These folks are something else - sent an email saying I had the wrong company. Just to be clear - this is for the background check company. Their online system flat out does not work. It exhibits behaviors indicative of flaws that could impact security. Tech support not available. Not 24x7. Do not return calls or email. Finally someone in the U.S. got back to me. Yup - your personal data is getting shipped overseas. If I really have the wrong company - let me know - and I might believe the statistically improbable scores on this site!!!

What a terrible service. I signed up with Uber for a bit of extra cash had to pay £41 for a DBS check that's fine. I had a check it was sent to Uber they say there missing information and to contact sterling I contact sterling and they can't sort out the issue I am being passed from pillar to post and the blame stands with sterling after all they they was responsible for performing the check. So now I want a refund. I want my money back. It has been happening for over a year.

Awful company, interrogate. They are and awful. Avoid. Daily interrogation. Stress on employees. Just.because a company merges and from a years ago ca not validate me working for them. Sent e mails as proof, yet still interrogate.

There were many instances information was given and not recorded, charges for simple tasks like change of address seemed excessive. Bank details were changed. Money was still taken from the old our account and when refunded there was an administration charge. Really disappointed, and when we spoke to customer services, they were very inflexible despite admitting errors.
