The whole process has been chaotic with really poor communication. I get daily emails asking me to upload my address when I have already correctly completed that section three times. They tell you to ‘pick a move in date’ if they’ve asked for a 5 year residence history and you’ve actually lived somewhere for 6 years. Their system can’t cope with correct details. The photo/taking process is very difficult. They ask you to hold up your photo ID but then the next day send you an email saying ‘don’t take photos of photos’ I would definitely not recommend this company

A future employer hired these people to do a background check on me. And they cant prove ive worked anywhere for the last 10 years. A background company that doesnt know how to do a check. What are they getting paid for if i have to supply all the paper work.

It is discusting app running very slow and lost my filling of form to many times after I finish they saud they are unable to send my data due to the technical problem I lost 3 hours of my time

I have been working with Uber eat and most of the gig economy companies like Amazon, just eat … etc since 2017 i recently received an email from Uber eats for a new background check right to work in uk followed the link and I uploaded all the documents needed including my British passport and next day I was surprised that the screening was flagged as “consider” to Uber and as result they have blocked my account… I have 0 criminal record and I passed dbs cheek many times and I can prove that I contracted sterling and Uber eat support and refused to communicate with me I have been told case is closed .. thank you Uber eat and sterling I’ll be publishing my experience on my social media soon

Sterling had recently done a background check for me for volunteering for AYSO. I had a background check with them in 2019 that showed nothing my 2024 showed a felony for 2018 on it. The problem being something is happening with how they verify so all they verified was my name and they’re saying the court verified my birthday and it was accurate however, after calling the court, they say the birthdates the demographics nothing match and they know it is not me, I am currently disputing this with Sterling. However, Sterling did not do their due diligence as I have a very common name and they have put something on my record to volunteer organization that I have had to spend hours trying to clear up whatever their issue is, they are not doing their due diligence and reporting things that are accurate so I would not use this company for further background check

I had a highly disappointing experience with this company. I paid for a DBS check in mid-December 2023 and, after four months and numerous unreturned emails, I still hadn't received the results. The company consistently fails to respond to phone calls and directed me to contact the employer directly, who confirmed they had received nothing from this company. Despite numerous communications before the deadline, they failed to mention any issues with my application, which they later claimed was incomplete and the link had expired after three months. They refuse to issue a refund or take any corrective action. I strongly advise against using their services—it's a complete waste of time and money.

This company told Uber my uk passport and driving license doesn't permit me to work in the uk. Try getting hold of them and ignore all contact. Don't trust this company or Uber as they treat you like dirt.

Horrible Horrible Horrible If you are an Australian client avoid this terrible company as they do not have any office in Australia, so you would deal with personnel with poor service. What they did to me was a terrible collection of mistakes, poor service, miscommunication and significant delays. Dealing with them is just waste of money and time just.
