I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. They rely on Yoti as a third-party service provider, to whom I provided my full name and documents. However, Yoti shared incomplete information with Sterling, which led to the rejection of my background check. When I disputed the outcome, Sterling appeared completely unprepared to handle the issue. After countless emails and weeks of waiting, they ultimately refused to resolve the dispute, leaving me without any resolution. The lack of accountability and coordination between their services reflects poorly on their professionalism. This was a third-rate experience, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who values efficient and reliable service.

I had to wait 11 DAYS for my drug screen!!! I have a herniated Disc at my L5S1 and take Hydrocodone for pain. The results were positive and due to it taking so long, I missed the opportunity to have it reviewed by an MRO (Medical Review Officer). In turn, I LOST MY JOB!!! I am beyond upset and doing all I can to make sure this never happens again.

This company fails to comply with UK Data protection law. You are most strongly advised to never give them any personal data or to even open an email from them (which may contain spyware) and certainly to never click on a link they might send you. You are advised NOT to trust them with your data, especially anything sensitive like financial information.

My friends had experience with these human rights violators. They are asking for very personal information and far fetched. The questions asked are harassing and should be illegal. Close down this firm please for human’s rights sake. This is absolutely mad I cant believe these guys exist in a free society. They make you sign some crap that gives away all your human rights when you start, but this cannot count in court as you basically have no other reasonable option.

This company is totally rubbish. My new employer asked Sterling to do my pre employment check. The check started from 10/09/2024.I submitted all the info and documents they need via their online portal. On 14/09/2024,they asked me to provide daytime mobile number regarding the traffic check. On 5/10/2024,they asked me to fill a form regarding the traffic history. Then on 23/10/2024, they sent me an authority form with other company's letterhead, which is called Verifile. They asked me to upload license, authority form and the form I uploaded before. So far I still didn't get any SMS or call from TMR QLD, which means they still didn't process my traffic history check application. During this period, I tried to contact case officer in Sterling, I sent a follow up email on 14/10/2024. The case officer Marie replied me the only element in my background checks that awaits is traffic history. On 23/10/2024, the same reply. On 25/10/2024, she ghosted me after I asked for a accurate timeframe. It has been almost two months. I don't understand what they have done. Avoid this company if you can. update on 6 Nov: still incomplete. Both Sterling and their partner Verifile are useless and inefficient. They are in two different time zones. I don’t think they even can understand each other. It’s just a simple traffic history check. It has been over two months. Hope both businesses shut down. update on 11 Nov:really horrible. Sterling asked for the repetitive document again. I have double checked with QLD TMR and sterling’s partner Verifile. They both confirmed that they sent my traffic history check to Sterling. Just waste of time and energy dealing with Sterling
