MISLEADING PRICING GUIDANCE The pricing page tells you to use your GA4 event count to estimate which plan you’ll need. We followed that guidance, signed up and paid a developer to set everything up - only to discover Stape was counting around 8× as many events as GA4. Support then explained that an accurate estimate requires checks in developer mode, that counts vary by page and setup, and that bots can inflate the numbers. Those limitations should be clearly explained upfront, before customers commit time and money. Our actual plan costs twice what we expected based on their own pricing guidance.

I do not recommend this product, it went offline for few months and I didn't get notification and we paid again and it does not store previous purchases, what a waste for the business. terrible

I use Stape across multiple client projects and it's solid. What makes it stand out is server-side tracking access for smaller businesses that would otherwise never get there. Even better is the Tech Support team—when setup hits a snag, having their support available makes the difference between stuck and solved. For anyone serious about tracking infrastructure beyond browser-side limitations, it's a real game-changer.

Stape has made the data tangle less of a tangle and definitely improved data quality for our businesses marketing across meta and google. I also think pricing is very fair.

I start appreciating Stape Store and possibly the Stape Store API more day-by-day. The way it stitches user journeys cross-session cross-device is really easy and convenient. I can build customized storage on top of it for advanced and fully customizable analytics. Basically I can build my product on top of Stape Store, which would otherwise be very inconvenient. So thanks for the heads-up. At a later point in time for webhook tracking I'm looking forward to be using the Data Manager API and CAPI tags more.

Very easy to upgrade to a higher tier, but impossible to downgrade to a lower tier without having to contact customer support and wait for days

This is a highly advanced solution for server-side tracking and custom setups, backed by a team of skilled experts. For our recent adjustments, we worked closely with Kostiantyn, who provided outstanding support. He not only implemented the changes but also explained what each adjustment meant for our tracking, which helped us understand the setup much better. I can only recommend their service.

I manage server-side GTM containers for several ecommerce clients and build my own tracking products on top of Stape, so I use the platform daily. Containers just run, and pricing stays well below what self-hosting sGTM on Google Cloud would cost me in maintenance time alone. Two things keep me here. First, the power-ups: features like the Store turn a plain sGTM container into something you can build real products on. Second, the developer tooling - the API and MCP servers let me manage containers straight from my terminal, which no other tracking host offers. On top of that, support replies fast with real answers, and their guides and events have taught me a good chunk of what I know about server-side tracking. Five stars, easily earned.
