It's been ten years ...
I have been experimenting on my own hair with splat colors for about a decade now. It's true, bleaching splats not achievable, especially like in the videos where they JUST put the dye in. But if you're patient with waiting out the fade time it's easily liftable. If you are looking to commit to the color you're applying apply splat, I do know I do I used to even mix splat with ion color dyes or what ever Sally's threw at us. I know splat is supposedly fabric dye. But if wool is a fabric material... is hair not a fabric material? Don't use splat if you want to change colors fast and often. And if you do, pulling the color by mixing dandruff shampoo and a generous amount of powdered(or crushed) vitamin c. Use that as a hair mask for a couple hours rinse and repeat till the desired amount of dye is pulled. Me? I use the midnights collection on my lighted hair so I can have vibrant colors. And with cold washes and good hair care, the color lasts 6+ weeks in vibrant then just kinda dulls while still being the color.
