I worked with Kristen Mercado and had a great experience with Spivey. As a mid-career applicant, I didn’t have many people in my life I could bounce ideas off of or ask to look over my essays, so I really appreciated having a second opinion and an extra set of eyes on my applications before I submitted them. Kristen also helped course-correct me a few times when I was going in the wrong direction on a particular essay or application component, based on an admissions officer’s perspective, which I never would have thought of on my own. She was also very helpful in answering the random questions I had throughout the process, especially as unexpected issues came up. I can’t say for sure whether working with a consultant changed my results in the end, but at the very least, it made the process significantly more manageable, which for me was 100% worth it. I ended up getting accepted to three T-14s as a low-GPA/high-LSAT splitter, and I’m completely satisfied with my results.

I highly recommend using Spivey Consulting Group for waitlist assistance, especially if you have the opportunity to work with Nick Everdell. He was very responsive throughout the process and supportive of my goals. I received a response to every email within 24 hours, and it rarely took the full 24 hours. If you want peace of mind while navigating the waitlist process, this is a great option.

Sam Parker is incredible to work with. She is timely, thoughtful, and thorough in her feedback and advice. I had very specific goals, but a lack of clarity in how to achieve them. Sam helped me do just that and I found success on every front. Helping convert lived experiences, dreams, and goals into a law school application is a difficult task that Sam had mastered. Sam was an amazing consultant and guide in my law school application process. I didn't know anyone who had applied to law school or had gone to really help me understand this process, and she did such an amazing and caring job of teaching me how the process works and what to really emphasize in my story and essays. We also worked on deciding what school to pick and ensuring I got the maximum amount of scholarship to help me attend. I just cannot recommend her enough. She brings so much knowledge and experience to her approach it really helps you see how to maximize your position and take advantage of you going through an already stressful process.
