I use speedy barcodes for my Walmart Marketplace with the help of Ced Commerce. This is not a scam! This is a business that i use and others who have Walmart Marketplace. Matter of fact, i will be using them again to purchase more barcodes.

If you need EAN barcodes that work don't use them
If you need EAN barcodes that work, don't use them. All their EAN codes are simply UPC codes with a 0 in front.
This is unrecognizable in certain fulfilment systems. We are trying to sort it out now but I am not sure we will find a clean tech solution, it may end up being a manual workaround. It's also a real pain when you are copying them down into google spreadsheets or excel for master data safekeeping purposes.

Speedy Barcodes is not a scam, you just need to understand what we do. We are a barcode reseller. Anyone that sells barcode numbers outside of GS1 is a barcode reseller. The barcodes we sell are old barcodes that we can buy and sell due to a class action lawsuit that happened against the UCC in 2002. The UCC has been known as GS1 since 2005. The reason the class action lawsuit happened is because barcodes used to be sold outright and in 2002 the UCC decided to try to license all old barcodes that were sold to gain yearly income from the barcodes that they had previously sold.
GS1 is a Non-Profit company that lists barcodes in their public company database that they have sold in the past plus the numbers that they are now licensing to everyone today. GS1 has large companies like Walmart, Kroger, Macy’s, Home Depot who sit on GS1’s Board and demand that you get your barcodes directly from GS1 to do business with them. All this information is disclosed on our website. Here are some of the references.

If I buy barcodes from Speedy Barcodes, will you upload my name and company information into GS1’s database?
No. GS1 is a company, not a government agency. They will not allow a different company to upload or update information to their database. If you plan to work with a retailer that requires your name to appear in GS1’s database, then you must obtain your barcode numbers directly from GS1.

Is GS1 a government agency or are they in charge of all barcode numbers?
The answer to both of those questions is no. GS1 is a company, just like we are. The difference is they are nonprofit and Speedy Barcodes is not. There is no government agency in charge of barcodes.

Is Speedy Barcodes affiliated with GS1?
No, we are not. GS1 is a different company. All the barcodes we sell originated from the UCC, which is what GS1 was previously known as, but if you buy barcode numbers from Speedy Barcodes, your name will not show up in GS1’s GEPIR database.
I hope this clears up any misunderstanding you have about what we do and the barcodes we sell.
Thank you,
Speedy Barcodes

Easy and painless introduction to barcodes
I have seen the very critical reviews. My experience is completely different. I needed only one Barcode. I applied for it late in the evening and by morning I had received the code with all certification and records. As a new and inexperienced user the process was completely painless and they offered the first barcode for free. I won't be selling on Amazon so don't expect the problems experienced by other reviewers.
When we need more barcodes we will definitely be using Speedy.

First, I want to apologize for not responding to your review in a timely manner. I know that the review / complaint is extremely old. We are currently under new management and our goal is to make all wrongs, right.
To start, please let us know who you are by giving us any one of the following: Order Number, Account Number or ID, or exact name on account and date purchased. We will look up your account and refund your money, immediately, that caused you to write this bad, substandard review.
Second, you may keep the Barcodes that you purchased and had problems with, and we will also send you twice as many Barcode Numbers that you purchased originally, which you may or may not be able to use, to show good faith.
Third, I would like to answer the problem that you had. Because of Amazon’s policies, the barcode numbers that we sell are sometimes not accepted by Amazon, as written on our website. Unfortunately, you may have missed this information on our website and that is why we are going to refund your money, and let you keep your old numbers, which will be accepted and used in 99% of retail stores, and give you additional barcode numbers, which you may or may not need or use. Sometimes, if you try to add new items on Amazon, on a different date, with different Barcode Numbers, and a different customer service representative, they might be accepted.
Meanwhile, we are trying to make your wronged, current situation, right. After we fix everything, we hope you can find it in your heart to change your review accordingly, if you feel that we deserve it.
