The Khaite x Oliver Peoples 1967C collaboration includes a branded soft case rather than a hard case, and all orders for this frame come with one. A hard case is not part of the manufacturer's packaging for this style. The frames were also not pre-owned. We received them directly from Oliver Peoples and inspected them here before they shipped. On the wait, this frame has been exceptionally popular and is listed as backordered on our website. We emailed an expected timeframe shortly after the order was placed and kept you updated through to delivery. We're sorry these did not meet your expectations. We have a 20-day return policy and the order can be returned for a full refund. We wish you the best in finding frames that work for you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We were able to locate and review your order and the full email correspondence. A bug displayed your prescription lens selections at checkout without adding their charges, so the payment collected covered the frame only. We flagged the discrepancy in your order confirmation the same day you ordered, explained the cause once we found it, and apologized. We never demanded additional payment to fulfill your order. We offered three choices: complete the prescription order at standard pricing with your discount applied, keep the frame at exactly the price you paid, or cancel for a full refund. What we declined was the request to provide custom prescription lens work at no charge. And we did not cancel your order — the cancellation was made at your request, and your payment was voided in full within hours. The checkout error has been fixed. We're sorry the mistake happened at all, and we wish you the best.

We are an authorized Matsuda retailer, which can be verified directly with Matsuda - North America. When you brought the missing certificate to our attention, we immediately offered to have Matsuda send it to you directly or include you on an email confirmation of our authorized retailer status. We also offered a full refund if you preferred to return the frames, which you chose to do and received promptly. We use new packaging materials for every order. Any additional labels on the box would have been applied by the shipping carrier during transit, which is common practice when packages are routed or processed through their facilities. We try our best to structure our business in a way that makes purchasing frames online easy, but also have to balance costs. While customers are responsible for return shipping, we offer free shipping on all orders to the U.S. We stand behind every product we sell and work exclusively with authorized brands. We wish you the best in finding frames that work for you.

Your order had to come from Canada to the U.S. and unfortunately got stuck in customs. A replacement was then shipped, but was lost in transit by the carrier. We notified you the next business day after your order was placed. We do our best to keep our inventory updated, but availability can change quickly. On the same day your order was placed, we emailed you the following: “The PL9901 (SH9901) will be coming from Starck Biotech in Italy. According to Starck Biotech, the ETA will be towards the middle to end of September to our offices due to a backorder on the frame. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.” Our offices are located in Southern California, United States. Additionally, our shipping policy clearly states: “Countries outside of the United States may incur duties and taxes. These charges vary by country, and we encourage customers to research any potential fees for their destination. Specs Collective is not responsible for duties or taxes.” We hope this clears up any misunderstandings. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our store. We were able to locate and research your order. We received an email from you on Friday, September 15th requesting that we ship your order as soon as possible. We responded to your request the next business day on Monday, September 18th with fulfillment details. We are not open on the weekend. We received an additional email on September 21st requesting an update and we responded the same day. Your order was shipped the next business day on September 22nd using UPS Worldwide shipping. You did pay for international shipping, however we only offer this one service and do not offer expedited shipping. All international shipments must go through the customs process that is specific to that country. The time it takes to process through customs is out of our control. We carefully inspect every order before shipping to ensure frames are adjusted correctly and ready to wear out of the box. All of our frames are of ophthalmic quality and can be adjusted. If the frame was not up to your standard, we offer a 20-day return policy and you can ship them back for a full refund within that time frame. Our return instructions can be found on our website.
