Spanish55Reviews of spanish55.com

I am an administrator for a local public health agency in a small midwestern town in rural America. I have been managing people and entities for over 30 years. I took Spanish in college, but that was during the Reagan administration. As I tell folks everyday - I am a dinosaur. So why is an old guy like me taking Spanish classes with Spanish55? I believe in service to others, the power of the spoken word and the need to personally engage our fellow man. At work I have people walking through our doors every day in need of services and I am unable to adequately engage them all because of a language barrier. So, let's fix it. I did a little research and found Spanish55. I liked their concept of teaching one-on-one with a personal instructor with flexible scheduling and affordable rates. I signed up and was assigned to Widney as my teacher. I use teacher as that is exactly what she is – a teacher. From day one I was struck by her patience, kindness, knowledge, and ability. She has taken me on a journey not only through learning the language but also the culture and history surrounding it. I don’t know how she remains so positive and encouraging after teaching a dinosaur like me over the course of this past year, but she is as kind and patient with me today as she was day one. Let me say this, as patient as she is with me, she also pushes me to learn each class, which is exactly what I wanted. Widney and Spanish55 have been an awesome experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking a challenge and has a desire to learn regardless of your age or aptitude. It works.

Coach Libny was amazing. The classes are well structured, the pace adjusts as you go through the lessons which was very helpful when certain topics needed to be repeated to fully learn them. I am well on my journey to being fluent and attribute it to Spanish55. I tried many other methods before this and nothing beats one on one training. Highly recommended.

I spent many years studying on my own without becoming proficient. After a little under 2 years with Spanish55 I now have conversational skills and am on my way to fluency. Sofia is an excellent teacher

I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Spanish55 over the last (almost) 2 years! A huge reason why I have stuck with lessons is because of my coach, Coach Jacob. I have taught previously and know how much it takes to be an excellent teacher. Jacob is always prepared- either to push ahead or for targeted review if it has been awhile since a lesson or if I haven’t had time to study. There also is never any judgment regarding a lapse in time so I don’t feel embarrassed but rather empowered to keep going even when life gets busy. I have been thoroughly impressed by his ability to understand with subtle intuition exactly what I need in a lesson and I have always felt comfortable asking for more help or to have something explained further. The most important thing for me when starting out was to feel comfortable with the coach so that I would be confident enough not to be self conscious to make mistakes and ask questions. I have always felt comfortable and enjoy my lessons every time! My experience with customer service/customer care has also been amazing. They are very responsive and quick to easily help with any issue I have had. I can’t recommend Spanish55 enough. The entire process in every aspect has been above and beyond what I hoped for.

The training is excellent and students learn to speak Spanish quickly and accurately. The teachers are amazing!!!!

Personal, helpful and great service!

Always on time, always up to date with where we left off. Great patience (needed since I am a slow learner).

Just dropping by to share some quick thoughts on my sessions with Coach Francis. Honestly, they've been amazing! Francis has this knack for making Spanish lessons feel less like a classroom chore and more like catching up with a friend who just happens to be really good at Spanish. What sets Francis apart isn't just her patience or how well she explains things (though those are awesome), but it's her genuine enthusiasm. It's pretty contagious, and it's turned what I thought would be the hard journey of learning a new language into something I actually look forward to every week. I gotta say, if anyone's thinking about diving into Spanish, they won't find a better guide than Coach Francis. She's made a real difference in how I see and enjoy learning Spanish.
