My opinion: wasn't worth what I paid
In my opinion, this company doesn't provide good value in home inspection. I am very experienced in buying/selling homes but was moving to Wilmington and my agent recommended Southern Charm. I was very disappointed with this inspection and voiced my opinion in a Google Review. Inspector repeatedly contacted me to have long winded discussions. All he had to offer was that his report met industry minimum standards. I had to threaten to contact the state license board or law enforcement to get him to stop. Apparently he can't accept that some people may have been unsatisfied with his work. A year later he initiated an effort by Trust Pilot to have my review taken down. He should have simply written a response disputing my thoughts. He kept saying he was "confused" but my critical Google review was quite clear about my issues with his work. He has done the same thing with other unsatisfied customers here on Trust Pilot.

To our potential clients. At Southern Charm, our motto is “Your Peace of Mind Is Our Greatest Asset” and we strive to satisfy each and every client with whom we work. Unfortunately in the case of this inspection and in the mind of this reviewer, we failed to hit the personal mark of set expectations of this reviewer. We regret that although we have made every attempt to work with the reviewer, we have been unable to meet the expectations they had personally set forth. As with any and all clients with whom we work, we do and are expected to keep the lines of communication open in a professional manner. We are expected under the letter of law to maintain open communication with our clients for the purposes of information dissemination and we always welcome feedback so that we can constantly improve our services. We did attempt to make contact with the reviewer as directed by law and only had subsequent contact as requested by the reviewer, only to be threatened at the point the reviewer was not satisfied with the outcome of our conversations. This is where our communications were closed with this reviewer. We regret that this reviewer’s experience was not to their satisfaction. We sincerely wish the reviewer and the reviewer’s own the very best now and in the future.
