Original: We tried multiple phones. No one’s phone was able to trigger the tag. 1 - 2 stars. Updated: Turns out it does work. The gift is sweet, it’s clever, my girl loved it. The business owner is patient and proactive about reaching out. The problem is the tag requires a very specific spot on each phone and direct contact. In the case of my phone I have to take the case off. My girl, fortunately, does not. New score - 4 stars. It would be 5 stars, if the tags didn’t require such an exact spot and direct contact. Still - despite initial frustration, I can honestly recommend this to people who want to give a sweet gift to someone who is sentimental. They will love it.

Hi James, Thank you for taking the time to update your review. I’m very glad we were able to get it working and, most importantly, that your girlfriend loved her gift. Because the NFC chip is small enough to fit discreetly inside the pendant, the phone needs to touch the pendant directly at the tap point, and some cases can interfere with the connection. I’m glad your girlfriend is able to scan it without removing her phone case. I truly appreciate your patience and feedback, which will help me continue improving the instructions.
