They provided information I may not have found otherwise. We are considering two of the solutions they recommended, and at least one of them we were unlikely to know about otherwise. The followup calls from the solution providers were a little aggressive--but overall it was a worthwhile exercise and I would recommend Software Advice.

The Software Advice consultant was very knowledgeable about different software and was eager to learn the nature of the business my requirement was for. I wasn't necessarily prepared with all the information as I was just browsing but he knew the right questions to ask so I could do some research of my own. When I filled out the questionnaire, I was asked to provide a contact number and a time I would prefer to get a call. I would have liked a few minutes to review my answers even after submitting the information before I got a call from the consultant as I wasn't expecting one immediately. Overall, great response time, would have just liked a bit more time before I got a call. The consultant reviewed suitable options over the phone and followed up with an e-mail as well, honestly suggesting which options were better than the others. This was a one-stop research method for me as I didn't even end up going to another consultation company!
