My experience with softriver co was so bad it makes me wish there was a 0 star option. The logo concepts were terribly generic and looked like they were designed by a child. One of the logo's looked like it copied an existing company with the same name (oversees) and didn't follow my design brief at all. I ended up hiring someone on fiverr who did an AMAZING job in the end and actually took time to understand the brief (same brief given to both). The designs look AI generated, when i rasied this they assured me that they weren't, but this just emphasises how terrible the logo concepts were. I reached out for a refund and they are refusing to provide one. I truly think this company is a scam and will be contacting my credit card company within 5 days if they do not issue a refund. I purchased a whole premium packaging with add-ons and didn't proceed past the logo concepts as they were so terrible. All of the remaining work is yet to be issued and still no refund. Truly terrible service. DO NOT waste your money!!

Very disappointing – the full story matters
I chose Softriver because their ads promised fast, premium “million-dollar” branding. My experience was the opposite.
The project lasted around two months, six revision rounds and involved multiple designers. The concepts repeatedly felt generic, cheap and nowhere near the quality showcased in their Meta ads.
Softriver's response below mentions the time their team invested, but leaves out the enormous amount of time required from me: extensive emails, detailed feedback, reference material, calls and repeatedly explaining the creative direction. I expected to evaluate exceptional concepts, not spend two months effectively directing the process myself.
They also highlight that they issued a full refund. What their response doesn't mention is that:
they initially proposed refunding only 70%, specifically citing the time and resources their team had invested. I declined and requested a full refund which came afterward.
Regarding Fiverr, their response says it is “a different package with a different process and set of deliverables.”
Prospective customers should compare the two offerings themselves:
Softriver markets branding services through Fiverr at almost half the price i paid directly to them $499. Just seach on Fiverr ( Louis Key). He is the owner of Softriver.
Ultimately, my problem wasn't the refund. It was the gap between the “million-dollar brand” advertised and the quality of "one-dollar brand" I received, combined with the considerable amount of my own time lost trying to get there.
A refund returned my money.
It did not return those two months.

Thank you for the detailed feedback Milard. We're sorry the final concepts didn't work for you. We know how frustrating it is to put that much time into a creative project and still not end up with something you're happy with. When it became clear that we weren't getting to a direction you felt was right for your brand, we issued a full refund.
Regarding the Fiverr comparison, we do offer logo design there, but it's a different package with a different process and set of deliverables from what we offer through our website. They aren't the same service being offered at two different prices, and we just wanted to clarify that for anyone comparing the two.
We do appreciate the feedback, especially around the amount of back-and-forth during the revision process. We'll take that into account as we look at how we can make the creative direction clearer earlier in the process. We genuinely wish you the best with your brand.

I'm not sure this is not a scam
I'm an active client currently. I have been working with them for the last 10 days to get the logo done. It feels like the designer doesnt read the brief fully at all before sharing revisions. They promise revisions back in 48hrs, but the last round took 4 days & the revision looks like it took 10mins. I emailed about 4 times during this time asking about it and got no response. I have requested a refund as I will probably miss my launch deadline - no response. I have been booking calls with the project manager which shows as "conflict" before the call - and I have not been able to speak to anyone. I might miss launch & I don't know if I will get a refund. I don't know how there are so many positive reviews - feels like a scam to me.

Hi Amritha,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience with us left you feeling this way, especially given how important your launch timeline was.
We would like to clarify a few points for anyone reading your review. The initial logo concepts were delivered within our stated timeframe, and our team remained engaged throughout the project. Following your feedback, multiple revision rounds were completed as the direction of the logo evolved. Creative projects can sometimes require additional time when several design adjustments and refinements are requested, and we understand that this became frustrating given your deadline.
We also reviewed the scheduling concerns mentioned in your review. Our records do not show any cancelled or missed meetings on our side, and our team remained available throughout the project. While we cannot determine what may have caused the scheduling conflicts that appeared on your end, we understand how frustrating this experience must have been, particularly given your upcoming launch deadline.
We were particularly disappointed to read the suggestion that Softriver "feels like a scam," as this does not reflect our values or the way we operate. Throughout the project, our team delivered the agreed concepts, completed multiple revision rounds, maintained communication, and ultimately processed your refund request.
While we are disappointed that we could not bring the project to a successful outcome, we appreciate your feedback and sincerely wish you the very best with the upcoming launch.

Not a great experience
Not a great experience, unfortunately. I am ultimately settling for a logo that I do not truly love. The colour palette ended up being the exact one I had from the beginning, and the “2-day delivery” promise was not consistently met either — one revision alone took more than a week, which was really disappointing.
What also frustrated me is that, after re-reading the package I purchased, I noticed it states “3 logo concepts included (in total).” In hindsight, when I mentioned that I was settling for a logo simply because this process was already delaying me, there was never any mention that I could continue iterating further to find the right fit within the package scope.
On top of that, the communication feels very impersonal and overly scripted. There is a real disconnect between the client and the actual designers, which makes the whole experience feel quite transactional rather than collaborative.
Anyway, what stood out to me most is that the marketing sets a very high expectation, but the actual quality and experience fell short of that.

Hi Anna,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
I'd like to clarify that the 3 logo concepts included in the package refer to the initial concepts presented at the beginning of the project. From there, clients are welcome to continue refining their chosen direction through the revision process.
Regarding turnaround times, while we always aim to meet delivery timelines, some revisions can take longer depending on their scope and complexity.
I also appreciate your comments regarding communication. We work hard to support our clients throughout the process, and feedback like yours helps us identify areas where we can improve.
Most importantly, we would never want a client to walk away feeling unhappy with the outcome. We always encourage clients to submit revision requests so we can continue refining and fine tuning the design until it feels right. We'd be more than happy to reconnect with you, review your feedback, and continue working together toward a result you're genuinely happy with.

Would leave 0 if I could
Would leave 0 if I could. Didn't even get close to what I was after and gave very generic logo ideas. Tried to revise but they still didn't get it.
Its seems their social media adds make their work look more premium than it is in reality.
Would not recommend or even consider using again.

Hi Matt,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, we genuinely appreciate the feedback.
We’re sorry to hear the logo concepts didn’t fully align with your vision. During the project, we delivered multiple initial concepts and a revision based on the feedback received at the time. After the last revision, the project was inactive for several months, and when we later reconnected, the new stylistic direction shared differed from the original brief.
To support that updated direction properly, we offered the option to start a new order with a returning-client discount, as it would require a fresh creative approach.
Our intention has always been to collaborate closely and deliver work our clients are proud of, and we’re sorry we couldn’t get there together in this case. Your feedback is valuable and helps us continue improving our process.
We wish you nothing but success with your brand moving forward.

I don't recommend
After viewing Softriver’s website and previous branding work, we were very keen to engage them to design our company logo and branding package. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and fell well short of expectations.
We went through six rounds of revisions before arriving at something usable, and each revision felt disconnected from the last, as though our feedback had not been considered or carried forward. It often felt like we were starting over with a different designer each time.
In the end, we had to design the logo ourselves and provide them with a clear example of what we wanted, which defeats the purpose of engaging a professional branding agency.
The final “brand package” was underwhelming and incomplete. It did not include the font used in the logo, did not provide the font files, and offered no real brand system or guidelines beyond the logo itself. What we received was essentially a logo file plus four mock-ups, rather than a comprehensive branding package.
Overall, the process was inefficient, the output lacked depth and cohesion, and the value did not justify the time or cost involved. We would not recommend Softriver for branding or logo design based on our experience.

Slow responses and terrible work
Slow responses and terrible work. You can only communicate with softriver via one email address and sometimes they take almost a day to respond. Once they do respond to messages, edit requests can take up to a week. The service is much more expensive than finding a freelancer yourself and it is much less reliable.
