Color Splotching on the Saddle Stitch Booklets
I got the saddle stitch booklets. The interiors were very nice, but so many of the covers had ink blotches/removal near the stitching. In my experience, it's normal for a few to have this (machine calibration, maybe?), but there were more than just a few. All the booklets were put into bundles, and the top 1-3 of every stack had it pretty bad. This made the blue on my covers look more orange and blotted out near the edge. Most of the rest of the bundles had a few speckles of the orange, too, although not as pronounced.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! I'm glad to hear you were happy with the interior pages, but I'm sorry that some of your booklet covers didn't turn out as expected. From your description, it's possible that some of the ink was affected during the stitching or finishing process, causing the discoloration and blotching near the spine. While occasional imperfections can happen during production, what you've described is certainly not the quality we want you to receive. I also wanted to let you know that we have a reprint policy for situations like this! If you ever receive an order with quality issues, please don't hesitate to reach out through your order's Activity Log or email us at [email protected]. Our team is always happy to review the issue and help make things right. Since this is your first order with us, I especially want you to have a better experience. I'll be arranging a reprint of your booklets at no additional charge. We truly appreciate you giving Smartpress a try and the opportunity to make this right!
