Going into the arrangement with Smart Carship we had a bad experience with another shipper. I was very educated at this point and didn't want to play around. I had a set pickup day & delivery day and I was promised those. The rate was agreed and I knew that it was fair and I made sure that there would be nothing additional added. The driver was delayed 2 days from the original date, but did make up time and delivered on time ( which was our more critical date). I would give 5 stars, but there were a few hiccups, nothing that being strong-willed didn't take care of. In the end car was delivered perfectly- for the price agreed ( actually they knocked $50 off)- This is a very stressful kind of transaction- and it's all about estimates getting you in and then changing them. I was educated, so I made sure I had a number before any commitment. Very pleased with Jeff Martin and our driver Giorgi.

This was a first for me - shipping a car across the state. That said, it was a learning experience. I went to shiply and entered in my information and was immediately inundated with emails and texts from various transport agencies. Some quoted specific amounts, others did not. SmartCar quoted a price that was quite reasonable. I asked several times if that price was firm and Patrick repeatedly said it was. I had to pay $75 up front and he said he would be reach out to his network of drivers. I had to reach out again for an update, and he said he was having trouble getting a driver at the price he quoted. They all wanted $1 per mile, which was well over the quoted price. I was very suspicious, but he finally said I could pay the driver directly, which I did. Ultimately I paid $100 more than what he quoted initially, but it was still less than what others had quoted. The driver was great and the car arrived on time. Thank you Patrick for working with me and getting this done. It was stressful, but we got it done.

I was confused with how the process worked! Jeff Martin was very persistent in getting the job. Once my Volvo was picked up the process went smooth and delivery was complete in two days.

What I liked: 1. They delivered my car and they too pictures of the car before delivery so I could compare. 2. Their staff Zara, was really nice and polite. She gave me regular updates of the car as often as she could when it was being delayed. What I didn’t like: 1. The price they said they would deliver the car was doubled after I had made a deposit. It seems like the initial price was given just to lure me. 2. The car was delayed by a day
