BEWARE of bait and switch
BEWARE of bait and switch! This company offered a price of $825 tall inclusive to ship my truck from Phoenix to North Ridgeville ohio. They sent me a contract to sign which I signed along with paying a deposit of $150. Then they called me the day that they were scheduled to pick up the truck to inform me that they had a driver that was going to pick up the truck between 12 and 3. I was driving and had to pull over to the side of the road and could barely understand them. He transferred me to a dispatcher that repeated everything that the broker had already said and he wanted to make sure that it was okay to to send a truck, frustrated and in a hurry because I was supposed to be at the airport by 12 that same day I didnt catch that the dispatcher had changed the price to $1299. I NEVER would have agreed to that price had I have caught it. Im my mind I was thinking it was a formality and confirmation call to remind me. The truck showed up and I gave the driver the $675 balance that I had agreed to and signed a contract for and he said that wasnt enough. He told me what his paperwork said so I called and a shouting match ensued, he told me that I agreed to the price change and that they had a recording of it which makes me think If a company already has a signed contract for an agreed upon price why would they call and RECORD the conversation on THE DAY that the vehicle was supposed to be picked up unless they no intention of honoring the agreed upon price. Its a clear cut bait and switch. I never SIGNED anything nor would I have signed anything had they asked me to and when they asked me for the go ahead to dispatch the vehicle I told them yes as I the price increase slipped right past me. Had I have caught it and not agreed what could I have done. I already had a ticket to leave that was non refundable. They are scammers and they know EXACTLY what they are doing and take advantage of good people. DONT TRUST THEM
