Worst vehicle transport company in business. Nick Johns gave me a quote to ship my vehicle from Florida to Michigan for $850. I sent him $150 down payment and after 3 weeks and not shipping my vehicle he said he needed more money. I told him forget about it and just send my $150 back and I’ll find someone else. Nick emailed me and said he wasn’t sending me my deposit back because it was in the fine print of the contract that they don’t have to. If you want to get screwed over do business with this company.

Lied to me. Quoted a price, assured me it would not be more. Had me wait 2 weeks for pickup, then boosted the price. Rip off. Do not do business with this company.

William Todd LIES and I mean LIES LIES and more LIES. Generally he was correct yet He lied about the initial cost of transport and when the deal was done after the initial deposit the cost almost doubled. Finally after more than an hour of negotiating, we finally settled on a price of 225$ more than was in the contract I signed and put money down on. Lied to there in the first place. LIES first example. Another was the driver time to pickup totally off by days. He arranged a Tuesday early morning pickup it was the next day late afternoon for pickup. LIED TO AGAIN. when I spoke to his driver, I found out the actual truth of pickup, 48 hrs later than was planned, the pickup person who had the vehicle stored for me, had to take a day off because of the late date/time. Driver was correct on the date/time once I spoke to him and was courteous however William Todd kept lying right up to the time the driver got there to pick up car for shipment. William Todd their spokesman and representative, was never completely truthful with me. I suspect they as a company are well versed on how to get more money from you that the first quote. I suspect that anyone in their company will most likely do the same to anyone who gets a quote. William Todd was very well used to the lying and not being truthful. So, I suspect the same would be true to anyone who uses this transport company. The reason for one star, the car did arrive the next day with no apparent damages. The driver was very nice and was good at loading/unloading the car. That being said I still know how I was LIED to by William Todd. and his company most likely has done this so many times they are well versed at lying and then quoting less in the first quote and then changing the pricing. My experience I cannot recommend them to anyone wanting to ship a car.

Please don't ever ever waste your time to use the service of this company. Too much delay to pick your car. What customer service promises is not what you get. Once you pay the initial charges, your value is gone. They begin to lie to you about pickup time. The company inflates the charges by 100%. They will tell you that the cost is $1000, but you end up paying $2000. I will never ever use them.

We got scammed of our $150 deposit we paid to get our car shipped to California. When we posted a review on another platform because they did not pick the car up as promised, the manager "Jack Miller" called saying he would give us a full refund if we took down the review. We said give us the refund and then we'll take it down, he kept negotiating with us, i said no firmly, he rudely said ok and that he would send an email with the transaction number and refund receipt and hung up. It has been over an hour and still no refund. I don't believe any of these folks are even based out of the USA. One of the agents we were talking to said his name was Richard Nickson and his email id said Nickson in it but email signature said Richard Nixon (like the president) they just use generic American names like Jack, Richard, David etc. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS! I should have paid more attention to the little things but I have learnt now. I hope others can learn from my experience. They willsweet talk you into making a deposit and actually tell you the negative reviews are from competing companies, don't fall for that. I fell for it and paid a deposit. Made a big mistake.

DO NOT TRUST AT ALL!! BIG TIME SCAMMERS. STOLE MY FRIEND’S $150 DEPOSIT. VERY CHEAP AND EWW!!!

UPDATE: The manager "David" called saying he would give a full refund if i took down the review, i said i would take it down after I get the refund, and he said okay and said he was going to send a screenshot and transaction receipt and then hung up, It's been 20 minutes and I still haven't received the email with a receipt of refund. I believe none of these people are even based in the US based off of the accents and names they're giving. They're just running a scam company. USERS BEWARE! Believe all the other 1 star reviews. I would give 0 if I could. They will BAIT SWITCH you with a low price. I spoke with multiple people through the course of this ordeal, Richard, Robert and David. First they promised the car would be picked up on a certain date, said they are not brokers and have their own drivers (THEY DON'T) they made us sign a contract and pay a deposit, then the bait switching began. The day for car pick up came, the window passed, I had to call over 20 times to get someone to answer my call, and they finally gave someones number for the driver, the driver said he cannot pick up today because he is booked already. When I called Smartship again, they said they cannot refund stating I signed a contract, they are providing alternate solution to send someone tomorrow. When I said I have a flight to catch today and cannot be here to give the car tomorrow they said I should hide the keys nearby for the driver to pick it up. They never intended on shipping my car. I should've believed the other reviews, but I guess I learn the hard way. I will be disputing on my credit card because I don't believe these scammers will refund my money themselves. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! You're better off driving your car cross country than trusting these scammers. EDIT: One of these guys just texted saying he will send $100 from his own pocket for the $150 deposit i paid since the billings department won't refund. I said no ty I need the full refund.

ATTENTION: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! Why,??????? They quote you a low price and send you the contract. Then you sent them a zelle or cash app, non refundable deposit. They will raise the price on you and come up with all kinds of different excuses. They explain that the quote is 3 to 4 times more than quoted. This seems to be the standard system used for most companies in shipping. BEWARE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
